If strength goes up while weight goes down you are doing it right.

Cook 4-6lbs of chicken breast on sunday. Thats lunch every day. Mix it in salads or on bread or with rice or with sweet potato. I normally will eat 12oz every day for lunch. Thats about 100g protein.

Hey! January is coming! It's going to snow on MFP with thousands of unique snowflakes! I expect 1000s of "1200calorie" threads. For the ones who attempt the "1200calories/day" I expect to see 1000s of threads in say March that start with "1200cals and not losing!!!" "1200calores and plateau" "help!!! Not losing!"

Weight loss and fat loss are 2 different things. Welcome to skinny-fat! Grab a gym membership and take up a powerlifting type program 3x a week. On those 3 days post workout eat a lot of protein and carbs. Like 10-20% above TDEE. On every other day just eat at or just below TDEE. Youll lose the fat and hopefully gain a…

This is gold! Perfect! OP when you use this set of numbers you won't eat back any cals and be sure you have rest days. PM any of us if you need suggestions.

If BMR=sustenance for vital organs while comatose then what dies 1200=?

You dont know what you are doing and the fitness instructors were wrong. PS you gained when you ate above 1300 for a reason. Stick through it and youll lose once your hormones catch up and regulate. Thats called water weight and its normal. You have 2 problems with your diet. 1) you dont eat enough for "your body type" 2)…

When you work out your body goes through trauma. You feed to repair that trauma. If you are in a caloric deficit and dont have the building blocks to feed that trauma then you are doing it wrong. so yesterday I lifted heavy. If I ate a 200cal snack then went to bed, id be in pretty bad shape today. But i'm smarter than…

I would still be single.
-
What he said. Diet breaks are great but 6months? Try 2-4 weeks....
-
No! Eat at a deficit from TDEE. Have Special K or any other food. Enjoy fat/weight loss.
-
You lift heavy? Glycogen depletion..... You eat big? Each carb carries 3-4g of water. I fluctuate 5lbs around my lift days but as long as the following monday i'm above/below whatever goal I have then its right.

On paper yes but hormonally no. You could be eating the perfect foods and the perfect calories and lifting the perfect weight and walking the perfect mile and your fat/weight loss will stall. Dont panic and lower the cals just keep at it. Most women can lose fat at 1600/day so just keep working at it.

Open your diary and post some stats. 5'1" working out every day is about 1600cals a day. If you are doing that then youll be fine.

I use a fitness calculator that spits out a ton of info including something called "Perfect Twin". Then depending on current weight it will tell me if the subject is Underweight, overweight, Obese, Obese II, Obese III and up. It gives waist to height ratios as well as appx highest and lowest fat metabolism numbers. It can…

Took me a long time to figure out my TDEE. I work a retail job! On paper I should maintain at 2100. If I work i'll burn between 2500-3200/day. I average when calculated on a monthly basis about 2400-2500/day. I lose 1lb a week if I cycle cals between 1600-2800 depending on the week and my lifting schedule. Hormones play…

If Kung Fu can be counted as a cardio type session then keep at it! You have so much pent up energy in your fat cells that you could go all out for quite some time. You MUST EAT WELL!!!!!! A variety of protein! Healthy fats from oils, nuts and fish! At least 2 cups of fruit and vegs every day! Then if you have anything…

At your weight you may want to only have those 4 days and just lift! Heavy! Right now you are appx 300lbs. At that weight, depending on height, youll have excess ATP in your system. If you screw around you will miss out on a huge opportunity to actually build muscle at a deficit. check out www.stronglifts.com and download…

If you burn 900 cals and net 600 then you should fire the CN! This is why i'm going to school for this crap so people dont come on saying nonsensical crap like this! If you have a BMR of 1400 and you eat 1400 then burn off 900 cals you arent doing yourself any favors!
