  • Wow! You all have some fantastic ideas. Thank you so much! Please, keep it coming. I'm hoping to find a groove soon and see what works for me, because what I have been doing hasn't worked. Bring on the fruit and veggies! :)
  • I find it is difficult to just eat straight up fruit and veggies. So while I do have apples or oranges, etc. just sitting there, ready to eat, I would rather find something else to snack on. Those that mention salads. Homemade garden type salads usually are boring and bland to me. I really enjoy salads from like Panera,…

  • I'm turning 30 next month and I'm tired of being single. Maybe if I actually went on dates it wouldn't be so bad, but I haven't gone on a single date since my last boyfriend broke up with me a year ago. we had only dated for about 4 months. Before that, I hadn't been on a date in two years since the previous boyfriend of…
  • I've been stuck in the 320s for about a year. In hoping by the end of January, when I turn 30, I can see the end of the 300s.
  • Yay! I knew there had to be tons of other people out there doing the same thing I'm doing. I've only been doing MFP for about 5 weeks and have already lost 9 pounds. :) I always stay under my calories, I work out at least 3 times a week and I don't eat back my exercise calories. Things have really been going well and I…
  • I'm doing slow and steady because I think that's healthiest. I'm more 5'9" and am almost 30 years old. I have a LOT more weight to lose though. I'm 323 (down 9 pounds!) and am hoping to get to 160 eventually. I'm not sure I could lose more than that though. I'll find out when I get there. :) Keep up the good work.
  • You're 205 in that pic!?! You look amazing!!! Can't wait until I'm that size. I don't think I've been near the 200's since middle school. Maybe elementary.
  • I grew up drinking 2% but then switched to Fat Free, but I've recently switched again to 1%. Less fat than 2 but less sugar than Fat Free. I only ever use it for my cereal--which is rare anyway or when I pig out on oreos. When I make smoothies, I use unsweetened almond milk.
  • Because I had stage 4 cancer and do NOT want it coming back. I need to be in my best health to prevent that.
  • I live in Va Beach. :) But really close to Norfolk.
  • Hi! New to the group. :) I just joined MFP a month ago and I weighed in today at a loss of 8 pounds! I am now 324 pounds and I will be 30 in January. So, basically, I'm thinking by the time I hit the big THREE-OH, that I'll be saying good bye to the THREE-OH-OH. :) That's my motivation. haha But for accountability, I have…
  • I'm almost 30. I've only had two relationships and they lasted roughly 4 months before they both said, "Let's just be friends." Honestly, I really really want to get married some day. I do. However, at this point, I honestly don't think it's in the cards for me. I just have never found anyone that's interested in me and…
  • Jeez, did -no one- survive the attack on Hogwarts? It's empty in here!
  • Stage 4 Type 2 Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma Grade 3. (Kidney Cancer) Diagnosed at age 25 in 2010. Currently 3 1/2 years NED. :) *hugs*
  • Oh, that's what my "on" button does. haha I didn't know it had a name. :P
  • I use chia seeds and ground flax alllll the time. Sometimes I use both in a recipe. Basically if it's wet, one of those will go in. If I am making a smoothie, both go in. Eggs? Flax. Cottage cheese? Chia. Pasta sauce? Both. Beans? Flax. Yogurt? Chia. It's super easy for me to add them in. I have teaspoons and tablespoons…
  • What is the "tare" button? My scale just has a button for "on" and one to change from oz to g.
  • I'm totally in. I just weighed in this morning at 324 and I hope by christmas to be as close to 300 (or rather 299) as possible.
  • I'm glad to hear it has helped so many people! I definitely think that I'll be doing more prelogging. Just today I think it has helped me. Still figuring out what to eat for dinner, but I have over 1,000 calories left for that. :) That is a fantastic idea. My recent list is a mess. I can never find anything. :P
  • My sister just had this done. Her doctor said that at the end of summer, it should be around 90 and at the end of winter could be down to 60. When she got her results, she was at 26. So now she takes a supplement. She's surprised she isn't more depressed with that low of a number. Makes me wonder what mine is. Just as a…
  • I'm on the same restriction because I had kidney cancer and so only have one kidney now. I haven't come across any plans, but it's really hard to stay at or under 1500mg. :/
  • Strawberry Revolutions TrueFit bands are amazing. I even have their studio tie backs for every day casual wear. So good! And they are all handmade here in the USA. http://strawberryrevolution.bigcartel.com/product/truefit-band
  • I use spinach, almond milk (unsweetened), strawberries (frozen), peaches (frozen), mangos (frozen) and add chia seeds. I just bough flax seed (haven't used it in years!) and plan to use that as well. Sometimes I'll put in a banana instead of say the mango or I'll only do two fruits. But I don't ever have to add honey or…
  • Well, I haven't lost anything this go around yet, but a few years ago I lost over 100 pounds as I went through cancer. I had gotten rid of all my big clothes at the time since I was finally small for the first time in my life. That backfired after I got better and gained it all back--and then an additional 60 pounds. So,…
  • I'm 5'9" and I'm 328lbs. I think I wear size 22 pants and an XL shirt. I am hoping to get down to 165 and a size 12. Hopefully my boobs will shrink enough I can fit in a medium shirt. hahahaha
  • Thanks everyone. I really am just starting at this all and have only done one workout with my trainer. Thankfully what I have isn't a contagious thing, so I wouldn't be getting anyone at the gym sick. Basically I'm dealing with post cancer crap. I just wish it would all go away.
  • So, I'm hoping by the end of January to be back in the 200s. At the end of Jan. I turn 30, so it just seems to fit.
  • The only way I've ever lost weight was by getting cancer... I don't recommend that route, especially since I gained it all back, plus 60 pounds. :/
  • Wow! So many of you. This is great to have you all in my corner. Anyone else feel like this is AOL AIM, where we would post a/s/l? Lol
