I joined, first group so I'll give it a whirl.. I'm at the home stretch, another 23lbs to go before I reach goal weight. January will mark one year since I started my weight loss.

Awesome job!!

Same here, as long as my macros are close enough, I don't mind eating less on days where I'm not the usual pig. Lol!
-
I'm also a stay at home mom but my girl is in 2nd grade now.. Lol. Add me if you like as well!
-
Congrats!! Amazing job.
-
Yes! Thank you. This is all very much a personal journey.

If only I could do that... I've even given up my beloved peanut butter sandwiches but I'm loving my new self more now so the trade is worth it to me. :joy:

1200-1300 works for me!! Seems if I go any higher on a regular basis, I can't lose... I am VERY sedentary though. Stay at home mom of a 2nd grader, who obviously is in school lol... I find this combo is working for me, including weight training, bodyweight/calisthenics and SOME cardio: 1200 calories/day Protein 35% Fat 35%…

Very nice!! Happy early Birthday! Stay on track now, don't lose focus but very well done.

Halfway house?

Hi!! You look awesome! That is a ton of work, nice job. I've lost almost 60lbs with about 15-25lbs to go. I'll add you if you don't mind!

Me also, I always try to pre-log. If I don't, I can find myself way over my cals and floundering around with usually double the carb and salt intake. Seeing the protein and all the numbers in good order helps me to be excited about the day going forward... Because I have a plan. We all need a good plan.

I need to be like you... :#

I've hard my share of this as well and I agree.. ^^

Very nice, OP!! Here's one of mine :)

Hmmm, endurance is actually quite important also because the days I do work, they tend to be long and I'm whooped by the end. I want it all!!!
-
Haha, no worries! :drinker:

Thank you for the responses. I love the info! As for my goals, I want to be stronger for work (construction with the hubby part time), shed the fat of course and just look damn good. I want a lot of definition and strength, not necessarily size.
-
Oh no, I wouldn't be doing that. :noway: I like doing the reps. Is that method for goals and just seeing what your max is? Or is there more reasoning for that. I'm not in for competition or anything like that. This is all for me personally, just trying to improve everyday.

Since my weights are not considered heavy at all, then I'd say it's safe to do it more often- 5-6 days/week for me. I'd lift heavier if I could but it's what I got for now! I do like bodyweight exercises as well... Calisthenics have worked good for me too, to make up for lack of equipment.. 85% 1MR? Forgive my ignorance, I…

That voice is yelling at me right now for posting this thread... Lol, but I hear you.

I may try to add a second day because of this! ^^^ I know rest is needed.. Just trying to get away with the least amount possible that will not jeopardize my efforts. Being sedentary, I look forward to exercising. I love the warm feeling all over afterwards and the mental accomplishment.
-
I would lift as heavy as my equipment will let me!! For now, tying to at least change up my rep scheme. And oooh, how I want a kettle ball!!
-
This sounds like it could work! Currently, I do full body about 3 times a week but find I'm wanting more... I'm a stay at home mom so I do have some extra time for the workouts.
-
Hmmm, even if I switch up the body parts? I don't over lift but I do use 7lb dumbbells, a 25lb plate, a barbell at 35lbs, a bench, an elliptical and my trusty 11inch milk crate for steps. It's certainly not a lot compared to others but I feel like it's a good amount for me and I can do TONS with this equipment!! Also,…

I have heard before and read about doing it this way. It's been easier and more fun for me to do full body at one time but since I enjoy it every day, I think this is important now, to split up the body. Appreciate it! :drinker:
