As far as the game, pick something you can share. Fries. Nachos maybe. Limit your intake. Alcohol can be limited to one drink. Or an entire glass of water in-between drinks. Work out hard core the days your going to go out.
-
Make sure you warm up prior to exercising. (Jumping Jacks, few quick squats, arm circles) Stretch a bit after the warmup. Concentrate more on the primary muscles you'll be using. Then work out. Cool down from cardio slowly. (Slight jog / walk). Then stretch. Make sure you take time off if you are having trouble walking. If…

Try to double your workout effort at least twice a week. If you normally burn 500, try to burn 1000.
-
When do you work out? If in the morning, try to eat an hour before. It'll help with energy and the protein helps your body recover / not hurt so much. If you work out after lunch, I'd say your counter should be around 200 by then. Then you work out and have at least 500 for dinner. I think people should be burning at least…

I'd try to consume it prior to the workout.
-
I was playing with that earlier.
-
Yes. Though starvation mode takes quite a while to actually kick in. Not just a day.
-
Yes.

If you feel really sore after your work outs, you might want to try eating something with protein. I don't remember all the facts, but certain proteins help muscle breakdown and repair. You may not have problems, but eating protein prior, might help you recover a lot sooner.

Ha!

that sounds good. Are you actually hitting a plateu? If so, try going hardcore. I try to burn over 1k calories in a day at least once a week at the gym. Also, use your abs a lot more. If you're not sore inbetween ab days, you can do more. Flex your abs all day. Remember to eat those calories though. Just not every last one.
-
I don't know how the actual P90X goes, but if you're not doing ab work outs every other day, I'd begin with that. That'll at least get the ab muscles bulging. You have to have a really low body fat % to actually see abs at all times.
-
Check your body fat %. If it's about 22ish, I wouldn't worry about it. Over 25%, there is room to lose weight.
-
Stuff like that has been happening for quite a while now.
-
Watch what you eat. Lift weights one day and do cardio the next. Warm up, stretch some, then work out.
-
People here take half hour smoke breaks 4 or 5 times a day. It's very annoying. Specially when a whole department goes together.
-
*Like* A lot of people think you're supposed to stretch first. Thanks for this post.
-
Spend at least 30 minutes doing different stretches. See how you feel tomorrow. Pain is your body telling you something is wrong, try not to ignore it too much.
-
I take a break until I don't feel much soreness. Usually a day or two. It's why people tend to alternate their workouts, cardio one day, weight lifting the next. If you are having trouble walking, don't run again.
-
Seeing the actual calories I take in has helped a lot. Also, seeing how much exercise it actually takes to burn those calories is an eye opener.
-
No more meals. Figure out what you want to eat for the day and spread it out. If you have cereal and a banana for breakfast, seperate them. Sandwich and chips for lunch, seperate. So, cereal at 7, banana at 8, chips at 9:30, sandwich at 11:00, and so on.

I'd stick with the running for a while. If it really doesn't affect it, it'll give your knee some time to heal.
-
I agree about those stairs.
-
I'm kind of the same as your husband. I hear about a problem and offer unwanted solutions. It's just the way I am. I feel if you're going to offer up a problem, it's because you want a solution. Seems women don't want that. And that's where my confusion begins.
-
A lot of people use running aps for smart phones. runtastic and run keeper. something like that.
-
If you see definition, don't worry about the %. You're not really in it for the numbers are you? I assume just the look.
-
It takes a while, not just a day, for starvation mode to kick in. And it has to be a significant decrease in calories.
-
I think that's crane. I'd do more than just the one move though.
-
Sounds good to me.

If you're eating healthy and sensibly, you don't have to worry so much about counting calories. Eventually, it'll become second nature. You'll be accustomed to eating the right amount and you'll kind of know you've eaten more/worse than you should. Just do some extra exercise that day.
