Also, planning ahead helps. Bringing fruit to work with me means I can have something sweet when the urge comes without hitting the vending machine. Don't have junk in your home.

I allow myself a little treat everyday, but I enter it in my fitness pal before I eat it. Then I can decide if it is worth either the extra exercise or depriving myself dinner time. Or sometimes I say, okay, but a smaller portion so I can fit it into my calorie goal. I did a lot of mindless eating before I stared on MFP.

I think cheat days are a good idea to keep your metabolism up. 600 calories is not going overboard by any meas. Drink extra water for a couple of days after (more than the 8 cups each day) and you should be back to where you started. It is impossible to gain 3 pounds from 600 calories.

Idk, but I want the recipe for that omlette

My suggestion is to take a day or two off and eat as many calories as you feel like. It might kick start your metabolism. I was plateauing for about 3 weeks and once I got past it the weight is coming off regularly again. You are doing so great! I would love to see before and after pictures. I am learning not to fixate on…

I did a body bar class last week for the first time. It is like low impact aerobics with a weight bar, free weights and a step. I tried to avoid weights because I wanted to get closer to my goal weight first. I was afriad that if I was putting on muscle and not seeing the results on the scales then I would loose my…

1. My husband and three kids. 2. A baby sitter who has dinner ready when I get home from work. 3. Putting on a suit I couldn't fit into two months ago and wondering if it was too big now 4. Waking up with my dog curled against my legs. 5. Getting such a good deal that I don't have to trade off quality and price 6. Going to…

Looks like you met your end of summer goal already (End of Summer Goal: Fit into a size 8 pair of pants comfortably ). And you still have plently of sunny days to strut around in your size eights!

I don't now the answer but my daughter is type one and I have never heard of this. I am just bumping to see what answers come back. She is nine and I have tried to keep her in sports that are more moderate - she dives 5 hours a week and dances twice a week. Tracey

Of course your clothes have weight. It is weighing you and everything on your body. Clothes can range from 1-4 pounds.

Thank you for this post. I needed the inspiration today. You have changed not only your own life, but you helped me as well.

You can do it! Think of all the reasons why you started this journey and ask yourself if you still want those things. Who will given them to you if you don't do it for yourself.

I think there is another one that is called swimming-treading water. Last time I went with the kid I tried to add a few calorie burner bursts like letting them climb on my back while I try to run across the shallow end.

Don't let a set of crappy scales be your measure of success or failure. Eating well and exercizing provides benefits way beyond what number comes up on your scales. A long healthy life, a strong immune system, increased strength and engergy are all biproducts of eating well and being active.

I keep a jar of of pj and a pack of weight watchers muffins at my desk. I toast the bagel at the office and speed the pj. Other days I bring fresh fruit.

I take control by reading through the posts on MFP daily. All of those before and after pictures are an inspiration to me. And the enthusiasm of our fearless leader and all my other friends on BOB keep me looking forward to my final goal.

Welcome. I did well on Weight watchers about 15 years ago when they had their fat and fiber program - but their new points program didn't work for me. I would lose a few pounds over the first few weeks and then stagnate, loose my motivationa nd miss meetings. I can't beleive how easy MFP has been for me. I am down 15…

I would put it down to too much sodium and drink some extra water. Within a day or two you will be back to normal.

I did this last month. It was mostly buffet so I filled most of my plate with veggies first, then allowed myself a few bites of the higher calorie dishes in very small portions. I was lucky. My conference was in southern California so the options were reasonably healthy. I also allowed myself one desert during the 3 days…

MFP always tells you what your weight will be in 5 weeks if every day was like the current. It is not related to you goal weight. Just a motivational tool. When you update your weight, you will see it go down because the calculation is based on your calorie deficit and current weight. I have about 14 weeks to reach my…
