The other day I made pizza using a weight watchrs wrap (100 cal wrap) add tomoto puree, low fat cheese, yellow + red peppers, mushrooms, a little pepperoni and bake in the oven. you get a thin crust pizza that is low in cal then have with a ton of rocket leaves, cucumber and cherry tomotoes? Not sure if you like any of…

Good on you! and well done on your weight loss so far! :-)

Thanks guys - so does that mean your not really burning as much calories when you go to do a hot yoga class? I thought your body would be burning more to call in extreme heat?
-
that is amazing! well done
-
o wow you look amazing! you are going to be my inspiration!!

is the 1100 net amount or just the calorie amount you are eating? if its the net - maybe excercise 5 days at the gym and see if that helps - your body also needs rest if its not the net calorie amount you need to eat more :-)

Thanks Ericb that was very helpful - feel better now! :-)

I just had another heart to heart with my dad, he said he does want to lose weight but has other pressures on him at the moment. I really hope everything is resolved soon, as I don't want it to be all too late

My grandmother had a stroke just after turnin 50, she was blinded and disabled on her right side down. His eldest brother also had a stroke after turnin 50, he has speech problems now - its sad because its happened to his own family, yet he's not worried about it happening to him.

87sarah - why are dad's so stubborn? I really hope everything works out for the best. I was hoping that someone could give me some miraculous advice, but i guess i just have to let him make his decisions. all the best

We've tried everything - from asking him to come with walks with us, to hoping that if he does join the gym he'll feel he has to go as it is being paid for, even if it is just for a swim - but he always says he will get active when he starts getting busy (work wise) but we've told him that now is the time to get active as…

I wish leading by example was the case, I am slightly overweight, but I have never lacked motivation to lose it and have lost it in the past, my mother is very slim (she's very active) and so is my brother and sister... I just wish he could see what he is doing to his body.

You are so right, but its so frustrating that he doesn't want to change. He is only 50 and I'm yet to have kids, I want him to be around and be able to play with my children. I just can't see how he is happy being the way he is.

But your LOSING weight! that's great 8lbs since march is such a great achievement - well done.

I find that fruit really doesn't help me either, I feel its mainly water so that when i go for a wee i feel hungry again. lol

At the moment mine is 7am breakfast 10.30/11 - snack 11.30/12.30 - lunch 2.00 - snack 3.30 - snack (maybe tea) 5.30 - dinner (I leave work at 6.00 then go straight to the gym but don't get there tell about 7.30) 9/9.30 - snack (sometimes after the gym, like some hummos on krisp bread) I hope my weight falls off quicker…

Thanks for this :-)

I thin i need to keep my carbs slightly lower and look at more protein options - find it difficult to find low calorie protein snacks in the UK.

I know you are right, but I've just come off atkins and am sick of meat - so aiming to eat more fish, legumes and seeds. Plus I am a complete carb monster - if only atkins was eating carbs
-
I could do that on Saturday, but because of work during the week its not possible - i need to be up at 6.00 to be at work for 8.30 and I live 1.5 hours away from work, so I wouldn't be able to make it in the morning since the gym doesn't open until 6.30
-
i bought a packet of this when i was on atkins and tried to use it instead of spaghetti - it was not nice! However, i made a stir-fry for my husband with it and it he said he enjoyed it.

wow you look amazing!

Should i just look at daily deficit or is a weekly deficit ok as long as it equates to no more than 1,200 if it was divided equally?
-
thanks guys makes so much more sense now!

Hi Triple J So as my BMR is 1345 if i did nothing and ate that much i would remain the same. But to lose 1lb i would need to burn 500 cals a day, so no excercise would mean 845 cals. But as I am excercising and if i burn 500 cals my net would still be below 1,200 - so does that mean i have to have slow weight loss in order…

I do really enjoy doing the class - i just hope that with the combinations of what i'm doing I see results. The last two weeks I was off from work so made use of the gym and yoga centre by doing 10 mile bike ride (as i am planning a london to brighton ride which is 54 miles) 1 hour of zumba and then either a hot yoga or…
