^^This! Your body won't absorb 100% of the "man made" vitamins so you won't get full benefit from them. I also take Rainbow Light, as well as vitamin D3. As others have suggested get your vitamin levels checked. I'm feeling a lot better since taking these two.

I'm a sucker for lots of TV shows and catch up on them while on the treadmill. Time flies during my run/walks. To help you (and anyone else) with the TV volume situation, I use this: http://www.sears.com/sony-wireless-stereo-headphones-with-transmitter/p-05794664000P ... TV volume can be on the lowest setting (even mute)…

I gave it a try with great hopes for two months. Ate healthy the entire time (no processed junk, etc). Didn't lose any weight :(

Nagging doesn't work, does it? My husband is overweight, needs to take BP medicine, now prescribed cholesterol medicine, and his doctor strongly advises him to lose weight. I am always working out and eating right. He knows he needs to change. I have pushed him and pushed him and he doesn't get it... I know this nagging…

Would you mind sharing your workout regimen? I have the same stats as you, but also the same problem as the OP. I however have a sedentary desk job so not much I can change with that. Still would love to see your workout based on that calorie intake! :)

I'm sorry to hear of your condition. I can't speak from experience, but my mom has copd. She is much older than you and all she can do is go walking. Her pulmonary specialist recently advised her to take a pump from her inhaler before she goes for her walks. I gather this will open up the pathways to her lungs so oxygen…

Vitamix :)

Bumpin' for advice! :flowerforyou:

I have a Vitamix (Turbo Blend 4500) and love it!!! I make green smoothies with it everyday. I pack it full of veggies, fruit, and ice and it blends everything with no problem. Before I got it I must have broke/blown through 5 "cheap" blenders (which added up $$), as the motors on them couldn't handle the volume of food I…

Has this helped you with the scale any? Although I've been eating at my TDEE -15% for a long time now, I've been unable to lose ANYTHING! I think its because of the quality of my calories. This past week I started incorporating fruits/veggies (never eat any!), hardly any processed food, less carbs, and no "white" foods.…

Bump!

^^THIS is what I need to work on. I eat relatively well but treat myself a little too often (within calorie limit of course). Must bump up cals and take away some treats!

Thanks for the link, mama! I'm glad a group was finally started.

Man!... you guys are great! I'm started to feel better already ;)
-
Sugarsquare, you are my twin!...although I'm a good 13 yrs older :( Anyway I've been at 145 for (gosh) over a year. I too would love to get to 135. I've been jogging/walking on the treadmill 5-6 days/week for 45-60 mins. Incorporated some Jillian the past few months. My BMR is 1408 and I was previously trying to net 1200…

Great read...BUMP!

Awesome! Kudos to you! :drinker:

Congratulations on deciding to eat 'more'! You'll love how much better you'll feel. More ENERGY! This will help your workouts and you'll be a lot happier... at least I am! Is your TDEE 1500 or your BMR 1500? Your TDEE should already have your activity level calculated in it, so then no you should not eat what you exercised…

I was hoping it would be moderate! Thanks Lucia!... and thanks for all the effort you put into this group. It doesn't go unnoticed!
-
Can I get opinions too please? :flowerforyou: I have been eating more for about 3 weeks. No weight loss yet, but I'm feeling a lot better! Last week was hectic because I was so busy at work, I didn't exercise... but I still kept my calories up! One benefit of this was a chance to help reset my metabolism LOL! Anyway, I…

Bump :)

What level of exercise did you select on fitnessfrog to calculate your tdee? If your tdee is 1620 and your bmr is 1350, then 1620/1350=1.2 which is sedentary. It sounds like you're doing a lot more exercise than sedentary!! I also do about an hour of exercise a day 5-6 days a week... so that is considered moderate, or even…

I agree with the others who say: 1) You are not eating enough!! 2) Get a HRM 3) Measure yourself I wanted a longer workout than the 30DS (just my preference) so I started doing Jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabilism & No More Trouble Zones. Each is 55 minutes. I promised myself I wouldn't weigh myself the first month…

As far as I understand it is the amount to cosume (gross), not net. I calculated my TDEE with exercise already built in: 1408 (BMR) x 1.55 (moderately active) = 2294----> 2294-250 (half pound loss wk)= 2044 cals to eat per day. If the number everyone's talking about is net, then that's a lot of food lol!! I'm finding it…

Why thank you Taryn! So if I make myself sedentary and eat back exercise calories, that gives me around 2000! 1408 BMR x 1.2(sedentary) = 1689; 1689 (net) +350 (ex cals) = 2039. This comes out the same way as making myself moderately active 1408 x 1.55 = 1932 (gross). Regardless, every way I look at it and everywhere I've…

Greetings Pals! I posted this in another thread and I hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I need all the opinions I can get - LOL!! THIS sounds like something I can do :) Despite my efforts, I have been stuck at my current weight for... YEARS! I've always been upset that no matter what I've done nothing has worked…

Thanks for replying guys! To start I am going to shoot for 2000 calories/day then! (Note to self - this 2000 calorie goal already has my exercise calories built in). I had seen on fat2fitradio and other sites that based on my stats I should eat 2000 calories. It's reassuring to hear the same from you, real "live" people…
