I have quit drinking for 3 months now. Best thing I EVER did. I was drinking a bottle of wine almost every night, and one of the reasons I put on weight in the first place. I was also concerned about the habit I was forming and why I felt that I needed to drink that much all the time. I was also worried about the example I…

Def do not have money to burn! I am really after long term results, which is why I have approached my fitness in the way that I have. Slow but steady. I think I am just getting impatient with myself and the process.

Thank you. I think that's what I needed to hear. Time to just get back to it and refocus!

Nothing that stands out in my mind. Just the usual things most families deal with, money family stress.

I'm a mum - 14, 11, 4 , 1 - feel free to add me :)

Now it comes up at 1194 - so that would more closely match with MFP.

No I put my current weight at 71.5kg ... let me recalculate
-
Hmmm so maybe I need to find a happy medium ... Food for thought (pun intended) :)
-
I am currently 71.5kgs and would like to lose 15kgs

I put exercise level 3 times a week. I used this site: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ If 1354 is the bare minimum then why does MFP tell me to eat 1200?
-
Thank you everyone, looks like I need to look into TDEE a bit more. Did a quick calculation and its saying: BMR: 1354 TDEE: 1862 So that means I should eat no more than the 1354 a day?

Interesting points made by all, worth me doing some more research. I have a skin condition that is affected by too much sodium but have never been given a mg amount to aim for or stay under. Sounds like a trip to the doctors to get some advise :)

Thank you AJ

Some great advise! So are you a nutritionist? You look bloody amazing!!!
-
Feel free to add me ... Looking for more friends and some motivation :)

Sorry I should have been clearer, she is a nutritionist. I already have a PT and he offers advise but not a set out meal plan. I would worry too that I would stick to it, or it would be time consuming to prepare. Thanks for all the feedback - will stick to watching my calories :)

Thank you everyone, sounds like a water issue. My husband has said that I have slimmed and toned a bit - and he is not one to hand out compliments  It just doesn't seem to be reflecting on the scales. I will keep going
-
Thank you Snuggle - that gives me a few things to look at. Also wondering if too much protein could be an issue, I have been using some Cellucor Whey Shakes to get me through to meal etc. - would that be an issue?
-
Tha Thank you ... she is 4 now!

Thank you for the replies everyone  I have been exercising for about 5 months, but only started to get serious the past month. I quit wine about 3 weeks ago, still have the odd beer if my calories limit allows. I bought a food scale 2 weeks ago to start weighing out my lunches. I lost nearly 1.5kgs in the first week…
