  • I eat 1800 on non-lifting days and 2050 on my lifting days. Trying to lose the last 10 pounds slowly and safely. I don't necessarily care what the scale says, but I want to drop a jean size by the summer. Feel free to add me if you like.

  • Weight loss and fat loss are very different. I got down too low with a 1400 calorie a day diet and massive amounts of cardio. It worked, but not for the long term. I was sidelined due to surgery and gained 12 pounds back when I started eating like a "normal" person again. I educated myself a little better. I started to…
  • That is awesome. I hate the scale. I go by how my clothes fit. When my jeans get tight and I start to see a mini muffin top appear, then I know I need to get to work. Congratulations!
  • I do both. Strength training helps to build my muscles and cardio helps keep my heart healthy and eases stress for me. It also helps with shedding the fat that covers my muscles. Last spring I went from a primarily cardio workout to a strength focused workout. I was still training for a half marathon, but I did a lot of…

  • I feel you! I teach Home Ec and my students are always offering me their food after labs. I usually tell them that I can't eat everyone's yummy food all day or I would weigh 300 pounds. Other times I tell them that I will eat it with my lunch and have them put it on a napkin for me. After that I either put it in the staff…
  • I learned that walking does not burn very many calories for me at all. I used to use the 100 calories/mile rule. I did learn that running burns way more than 100 calories/mile for me though. So yay for running! I also learned that I burn the same number of calories in spin class (resistance high vs. low), so I'm trying to…

  • 232 pounds. I was not fast, but I finished and that was my goal. Everyone was especially supportive to me along the race course. I would say do it!
  • I've used it on and off for the past year. Back on now. I love how it gives me a good read on my TDEE. Feel free to add me if you like. I'm working on losing the last 10 pounds so I usually don't post big numbers in the loss column anymore.
  • What an amazing success story. You are gorgeous! Best of luck to you with your career and life.
  • Great results! Your legs are amazing!
  • Good for you! Overcoming so much and staying on track. What a healthy example you are setting for your daughter. Congratulations!
  • You look amazing! Your husband will be thrilled. Enjoy!
  • You look amazing! So inspirational! I have just started with IF. I'm doing the same plan as you-eating all of my calories between 12-8. I have found that it makes me eat less overall. I was eating a lot of mindless snacks and wasting calories. I always logged them, but sometimes my snacks would be more calories than a…
  • Love the motivation of challenges. I need to lose the last 11 pounds before the new year. Count me in!
  • One thing I like for the gym is to find dubstep remixes of songs that I like. The steady beat helps keep me going. Also a fan of: Ra Ra Riot-Dance with Me Smallpools-Dreaming New Politics-Harlem Will i Am/Britney Spears-Scream and Shout Fitz and the Tantrums-The Walker Calvin Harris-Sweet Nothing Robin Thicke-Blurred Lines
  • Look at you go! Congratulations! I'm sure you are an inspiration to many. Well done. :-)
  • Congratulations on meeting your goal. I can only imagine the hard work and dedication that you have to have to get your body to look like that at competition. Great job! You look amazing!
  • I have had 2 children. My first was 8 lbs 12 ounces and 10 days early and I gained about 60 pounds. I needed a c-section. I was young (23) and my skin bounced back. I was much more active during pregnancy number 2 and only gained about 30 pounds. I had my daughter without needing a c-section and my skin bounced back. I was…
  • You look great! You seem so much more confident now! Amazing.
  • You look incredible! So fit and strong and lean. Well done!
  • If you want a nice, flat race, then the B&A Trail run is great. Very flat, but not many people on the sides cheering. It's also not very crowded. I've also done the Baltimore Half. Very fun race, but very hilly. Tons of people cheering you on there and lots of runner suport. In April I did the Iron Girl Half. Nice race…
  • I just bought a Polar FT4 and love it. I am down to losing the last 10 pounds and found that I really need an accurate count of what I burn. MFP was slightly off with my calories (over on some exercises and under on others). The chest strap doesn't bother me. It just sits right where my sports bra band ends. I bought it…
  • I've had 2 children, lost 100 pounds from my highest weight and am 43. My skin was NOT going to bounce back. I have a picture of it hanging over my pants in my pictures. I had to have a tummy tuck to get rid of it. It may not be for everyone, but it was the best decision for ME personally. Good luck!
  • Bump. I love wonton wrappers! I've made mini tacos with them with shredded chicken and cheese and salsa.
  • I eat ham in my egg white omelets and turkey bacon at times. I don't want to restrict any one particular food personally.
  • Amazing and inspiring! I would never guess your age based on those killer legs! Congrats.
