At what point might you stop seeing results?
I have been losing weight with MFP since February 2012. I lost 63 pounds logging and doing cardio exercise. I started at 1200 calories and always ate back the majority of exercise calories (which usually meant I was eating 1400-1800). In November I added strength training to my workouts and upped my daily calories to 1800…

Favorite "Love to Hate" Exercises
What is your favorite exercise that you love to hate? You know what I mean-you are cursing and looking at your watch when you are doing it, but you know that you are improving your strength and/or fitness level by doing it. For me it is lunges, especially with one leg behind me on a step.

Is anyone else hungry at work but okay on weekends?
I don't know what it is, but I always feel so hungry at work. I'm a teacher and stuck in a classroom for 7 1/2 hours per day. I rarely sit behind my desk, but I definitely don't get to move around as much as I would like. On the weekends when I am out and about I don't feel as hungry. Anyone else have this problem? What do…

IT Band Issue
I am currently training for another half marathon and I am having outer knee pain, which I am pretty sure is my IT band acting up again. Has anyone continued to successfully train for an event while nursing an IT band issue? I am doing ice and foam rolling each day, but really want to make it to my race in April. Any…

Ladies-swimsuits-top heavy/tiny bottom
Hi ladies! I was wondering where to find cute swimsuits if you are larger on top (D/DD cup) but smaller on the bottom (size 2/4). I've tried Athleta and didn't have much luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Low sodium/high protein recipes?
I always have trouble keeping my sodium down. I'm also trying to up my protein intake. Any good recipes that do both?

Hid the scale-LOVING IT
I finally did it. On Sunday night I asked me fiance to hide my scale and BodyMedia. I was weighing everyday and letting that stupid thing dictate how I felt about myself. I'd lost 105 pounds from my highest weight and wasn't able to maintain it. It was too low of a weight for me personally. I was able to maintain it for 3…

Sudden Weight Gain
Provide your stats (height/weight/age/bodyfat% if you know it/etc) 5'6" 137.4 pounds 42 Around 23% via online calculators. Closer to 20% via calipers (used by me-so I'm not sure how accurate this is) What's your current gross intake of calories, on average? From 3/10-4/6 it has been 1953 on average What's your current…

Going from 2 Body Part Workout to Full Body
I currently do 2 body parts per weight training session (chest/tris, back/bis, legs/shoulders), but I am looking to go to 3 full body sessions per week. Can anyone suggest their favorite compound moves that will get a good full body workout in without increasing my lifting time? I like it to be 45-60 minutes. Thanks!

Calorie Cycling?
I'm pretty much where I want to be weight-wise. I would like to drop a couple of body fat percentage points without sacrificing my lean muscle mass. I've come across an article on calorie cycling that I would like to try. I wanted to see if anyone had tried this and what your results were. My plan is: 5 days 1800 calories…

Finally Posting My Story
I saw this picture and realized that I had hit rock bottom. I weighed 232 pounds and was wearing a size 20. It is the only picture that exists of me at that size because I never let anyone take pictures. This was taken by a stranger who offered when I was taking pictures of my kids. I lost 25 pounds and started to get…

Giving up diet soda?
I am wanting to give up drinking diet pepsi. I have been slowly replacing my soda with water. My goal is to eliminate all diet soda from my diet. People who have been successful with this, any tips and tricks? I have been having bloating issues lately and I think too much diet pepsi may be contributing to my distended and…

Permanent Body Media armband mark?
I took off my BodyMedia armband last Monday (3/18) in preparation for my spring break starting this Friday (hoping the mark I had on my arm would go away). I still have a dent on my left arm as if I just took the armband off 5 minutes ago. I love my BodyMedia, but don't want a "scar" on my arm. Today I wore it tucked…

Thoughts on sleep?
I know that I should be getting 8 hours of sleep per night to be healthy. I try my best, but it's just not always possible. Has anyone seen a change in weight/energy levels/etc. when you went from sleeping 6-6 1/2 hours to getting 8 per night?

Lift 3 or 5 Days?
I would like to know if there is a difference (benefit?) to lifting 5 days per week versus 3 days per week. My old lifting routine was: Chest/Tri's Back/Bi's Legs/Shoulders Once per week and no cardio on those days. 3 Days of cardio (usually 2 days of HIIT) and one rest day I signed up to run a half marathon and wanted to…

Women with breast implants-any advice?
I have met with a plastic surgeon and want to get breast implants this summer and a body lift next summer. I have lost 102 pounds without surgery and my body looks great with clothes on, but I have lots of loose skin that bothers me. My breasts went from a D cup to an A cup. I want to replace the saggy skin with what I had…

Rude comment from a coworker
I just read a thread about someone being made fun of for being large. That sucks. I've been at that end too. I teach middle school and when I was 100 pounds heavier a student asked me, "How's the diet soda workin' for you?" as I walked by him in the hallway carrying a can of diet pepsi. I went into my classroom and started…

One Year on MFP
What a difference a year makes! One year ago on Sunday (2/10/12) I got serious about taking control of my health and becoming the strongest and healthiest person that I could be. I have a wonderful fiance who has supported me and helped me every inch of the way. People who are doubting themselves...you can do this. It…

Hail the Chia Seed
If you have not tried chia seeds, then you should. They are very awesome. I have been adding a teaspoon here and there to baked goods and foods that I eat anyway and it's been great. They counteract my "protein problem" beautifully and keep things moving along in the right direction. My favorites have been the banana chia…

Benefit of Lifting/HIIT
I have been heavy lifting (for me) and incorporating high intensity interval training (HIIT) into my workouts for the past couple of months. I've increased the calories that I eat from 1500-1600 to 2000 per day. I lift 3 times per week (I do split body workouts) and do HIIT twice per week. I do one long run (I'm training…

Water Retention
I have been trying to little by little increase the amount that I lift in the gym. The progress is slow but steady. I am lifting in splits 3 times per week (back/bis, chest/tris and legs/shoulders). 2 other days I do HIIT on the treadmill. 1 day I do a long run to train for a half marathon in April. The final day I rest or…

Chia seeds as an egg substitute?
Has anyone used chia seeds that have been soaked in water as a successful egg substitute in baking? Did it change the flavor or texture of the item? Did you need to adjust the baking time at all? I've used applesauce instead of eggs before in some recipes with good results, but have not yet tried the chia seeds. Maybe it's…

Are you "lucky" enough?
Have you heard how "lucky" you are to have the time to exercise? When people ask me how I lost my weight I tell them logging everything I eat and exercising. They then proceed to tell me how lucky I am that I have the time to exercise and they couldn't possibly do it. I'm a single parent with no support from my ex, I work…

OT-Blending of families
My fiance and his children (age 14 and 10) are going to to be moving into my house with me and my children (age 19 and 15) in a couple of months. Lifters...More Effective Full Body or Body Parts?
I am currently lifting 6 days per week and rotating between 2 body parts per day. I do chest/tri's, back/bi's and then legs/shoulders. I do 4 exercises for each body part and then 30-45 minutes of cardio. I am noticing that a lot more people do a full body workout 3 days per week. Which has proven to be more effective for…

Setting calorie goal in MFP with BodyMedia
Hello...I tried to ask the other night and search the threads, but I still am confused as to how you set your MFP calorie goal when using the Body Media armband. I have the 2 apps synced and BM adds back activity calories based on my calorie burn throughout the day. Right now I have MFP set to my BMR and eat most of the…

Using BodyMedia armband with MFP-Help Please :-)
I just got my BodyMedia armband in the mail yesterday and wore it today. I love it, but I'm really confused with how to merge it with MFP. I like using MFP to enter my food and just want to let the BodyMedia calculate my calories burned over the course of the day. With this scenario, how do I set my MFP calorie goal so it…

Weight Training DVD Recommendations?
I just tried the 30 Day Shred and found that I worked up a nice sweat, but it was very boring to me. I do like that it is only a 20 minute commitment and I know that the moves are effective, but I was bored and can't stand the thought of doing that for 29 more days. Does anyone have any strength training DVD's that they…

What are your "go to" foods?
