Are you "lucky" enough?

Have you heard how "lucky" you are to have the time to exercise? When people ask me how I lost my weight I tell them logging everything I eat and exercising. They then proceed to tell me how lucky I am that I have the time to exercise and they couldn't possibly do it.

I'm a single parent with no support from my ex, I work full time and have a part time job a couple days per week. Luckily I have an elliptical machine in my basement and a gym that is open 24 hours a day. Not to mention a sidewalk outside for running and walking. Yes, I have been known to be at the gym at 10 pm on a Sunday night.

I just wanted to say cheers to all of us that are so "lucky" and bust our butts every day and do what we have to do to be healthy!

Like anything, if it is important, you'll make time for it.

So true! I look at exercising like showering or getting dressed or preparing a meal for my kids. It really must be done. Sure, I don't have to do any of those everyday (and sometimes I don't, lol), but they're important enough for me to make time most days to do it.

I am "lucky" enough that we no loner have a tv so I have less distraction from working out.

There are no limits to the creative excuses to put off change.
