1/4 c ricotta cheese, dash of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg (basically pumpkin pie spice as long as it doesn't contain sugar), 1/8 - 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, 1 packet sweetner

I love your name ProCoffenator. I am definitely pro coffee and pro procrastination. The rest of my message disappeared. I am Lisa and both of my children were born in July = lisajuly

Hi, please feel free to add me also. I'm not new to mfp, but only about 6 weeks in to low carb/keto woe and twenty days in at tracking my food again, I'm still playing with my macros and trying to get my fat in.

 Bump. For those asking what a bump is, towards the top of the page, there is a link for My Topics. There, you will find a list of the threads you've posted too. when you post on it (even if it's just "bump" ) it will show in the My Topics which makes it much quicker to find, which is great for finding recipes…

Dealing with a family member w/NPD is like banging your head against the wall. ALL. DAY. LONG. so, sorry you had to deal with that and not get the support and kudos you so obviously deserve. You know what....your MFP family is glad to give you support. you have done fantastic....your family here is incredibly proud of you!

I did the one in the Rockies last summer and I'm already signed up for Aug. 2011. It is a great, great time and you won't regret doing it. People of all shapes, sizes and ages do it. Mine was at an altitude of 10,000 ft and so there were a lot of walkers (and even me, who runs @ 5,280 ft regularly had to walk part of it…

Love Dead Guy Days! Been a couple of years since I've been up for the festival. I'll have to see if I can make it for this weekend.

Do you fuel yourself during your run? Anything over 8 miles, i try to have at least one gel or shot block as I'm running (and ususally 2 because I'm a slower runner), so i'd have one at 45 minutes and one @ 30-45 min after that, depending on how I'm feeling and how far I'm running. Lack of sleep would definitely contribute…

Hi just wanted to welcome you MFP. I'm just drinking my first cup of coffee so I'm failing on the math translation. Is that @45 lbs? Ok, I'm a runner and the first thing you need to do is pick out a running plan for your half marathon. I'm partial to Hal Higdon's plans (did my last half in October following his…

FYI, by me, egg roll wrappers are either in the produce section OR by tofu. hope that helps.

bump. To travel talk, when you bump a topic, it will show up under "my topics" when you are in the message board tab. that way (espcially for recipes) you can find it easier as opposed to using the search function.

welcome carrots :) I also don't lose weight when i'm training for a half. it's a very fine line between fueling your body enough to run, giving it enough food to survive and trying to lose weight. i personally find that if running is the only thing i'm doing, I have to run over 25 miles/week to see the scale move and…

Ok, (this is a copy/paste from another thread) this is my "dance" list for running. I did the one in the Rockies in 2010 and I'm going back to the mountains to do it again in summer 2011. If you scroll down to the last post on page 11, you can read my race report. (WARNING: i live in CO and did mine in the mountains. other races won't be at 10,000 ft, lol)…

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everyone had a good day with family and/or friends. Babygurl, glad you joined us here. 7.8 miles at 10:32 pace today. Was a pretty darn good run, although i was tired at the end. Got lucky...it was supposed to be single digits and i think it was actually closer to 40. Wore my capris, so i…

Waving to Wendy :drinker: 5.3 miles today. Ran on the treadmill...it's been so windy lately and I just didn't have it in me to run in 38 degrees and 20 mile winds. Hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful Thanksgiving. (my motto is 8 miles justifies pie, so i will be going for a long run Thursday morning, lol) Lisa

I am making Savory Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe here ==> http://kitchen-parade-veggieventure.blogspot.com/2010/11/savory-sweet-potato-casserole.html I chose it because i can do the potatoes the day before and then just pop it in the oven on Thursday before we eat.

Hi! Feel free to join us on this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/106273-half-marathon-support-and-motivation?page=19 my next half is 5/15, so i have a while before my official training starts. In the meantime, i run 4-6 every other day with an occasional longer run thrown in there. Good luck! Lisa

Hope everyone is doing okay. 7.2 miles on Wednesday....because i dropped my cell phone and didn't realized it until @ 3.15 miles and then had to run my course in reverse, plus i missed a turn adding on an extra miie. I took a couple days off after that because my right knee was bothering me a little. Found my cellphone,…

Whoops, no Marcie, I'm doing the half marathon (accidentially left that word out, lol). I have knee issues (chronic PFS) and there is no way my left knee could take 4 1/2 - 5hrs of pounding on pavement. Come to think of it, as much as I like to run, I don't think i want to run for that long.
-
Hi pickles, glad you joined us! What race are you looking at (and when is it?) Marcie, there's no accumulation so it's not that bad when it's snowing right now. you can always put duct tape on your sneakers if it's that wet out, lol. I'm registered for the Colorado Colfax Marathon on May 15th. Trying to redeem myself, lol.…

Personally, I think you need to eat more. I believe that there is no reason for a woman to have a calorie goal of 1200 unless she's sitting on the couch all day. The fact that you are running 5x a week should mean that your metabolism is at a decent rate to start with. Netting 1200 calories is only going to hurt you. I'm…

Morning everyone. We have a saying here in Colorado. If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes. When I started my run, there was a decent snow going on. In about 10 minutes it had lightened up, and a few minutes later, it stopped snowing and the sun was shining---brightly. So bright that I wished I would have worn…

I'm just reading this thread during breakfast and I almost spit my coffee out at this! Awesome!!!!
