Nice runs everyone! Good to see all the updates. 5.51 mi@ 10:54 pace (treadmill). My kids go back to school tomorrow (!!!) so i can start doing some of my runs outside again, as long as it isn't too hot. they don't start until 9:30, so sometimes, it's to hot by that point...and it's back to the treadmill. JessiJean, so…

Welcome JessiJean, glad you've joined us! Victoria-nice run. Good job getting out there today and getting it done! 7.31 miles at 10:57 pace. Really looking forward to some yoga tomorrow. Some parts of me NEED to be stretched. Everyone else----check in and let us know how you're doing!

5.55 miles at 10:54 pace. (Jennifer, my paces were ALL over the place today, lol. I thought of you while i was running and my Garmin was beeping off very different mile times) off to take the kids to Pirate's Cove (small water parK) and then my parents leave and head by NY later tonight. I'll check in later with comments.

If you are having a hard time with pushups (even the girly ones), start with doing them against a wall. Form is the same, except you're putting less strain on your chest muscles. After you're able to do a decent amount of them, then go to the girly ones and do just a couple if that's all you can do. You can even do the…

Jennifer, your wedding dress is gorgeous! you look fantastic. i do not always run the same pace for every mile, but i have a garmin and it tells me what my average pace was for the entire run. My first mile or so is ususally a bit slower and then i get into my groove, but there are times when my mile splits are 30 seconds…

Day 3, speedwork. I'm tinkering a little with HH Intermediate plan because he has less miles on it then i'm used to running and i don't want to lose that. So, today wound up being: 1 mi w/u @ 5.5mph .25mi x 2 at 6mph .25mi x 2 at 6.2mph .25 x 4 at 6.4 mph 1 mi c/d @ 5.5mph walk intervals after each .25 done at 4mph for @ 1…

6.05 mi at 10:31 pace. Half marathon training officially starts tomorrow....with strength and stretching as the first workout, lol. hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Cross train day for me....36 min cardio program tm and @30 min UB weights. I have to go check the schedule...i can't remember if half training starts tomorrow or next week. If it starts tomorrow, I may put it off one day and get one more long run before officially starting. Victoria, glad you're feeling better. Hope…

....and i'm back :) Was able to go run at 7:30 am before it got too warm. 5.9 miles/10:39 avg pace. It's my daughter's 8th birthday today. We're off to the movies and then, later to Red Robin (her choice) for her birthday dinner. Will be picking out my food shortly so i can work it into the day's calories.

I just love your posts! :flowerforyou:

Cross train day for me. 48 min interval program on my tm, @20 minutes upper body weights and an On-Demand abs video (10 min, tops). So looking forward to my run tomorrow. Since my parents are here, I can run outside...and at 7 am, if i want! Hopefully, I'll sweat out some of the garbage I ate the other day

Glad you were able to run without pain! I've had a rough food week too and i'm trying to get back on track too. Good idea giving fiance your debit card--no impulse food buys!
-
Great job! Congratulations :)
-
5.6 miles at 10:42/mi pace. Dang, i hate the tm sometimes, lol. Switched my mp3 player over to my "dance" playlist and the time went by so much quicker with music with a faster beat. OK, 12 hours until my parents get here. going to do the last of the power cleaning and a little food shopping. i'll try to check in later.l…

Forgot to post earlier today, but it was 5.51 miles for me, and yes, as crappy as I felt thanks to AF showing up a few days early, I am going to claim that 1/100th of a mile, lol. My parents are coming in Wednesday night for like 9 days, so I'll be cleaning and then dealing with them...and my children's birthdays (one is…

6.05 mi @ 10:48 mi avg. Got just under 24 miles for the week...that short run on Sunday after hiking kept me from getting 25 miles this week. Now I'm hungry.
-
So, how'd you do? Hope it was a great run and you got the 4 miles without stopping.
-
Good job getting it done!

I usually will have pasta for dinner the night before, with a chicken breast and veggies cut up into it. The morning of a half I will usually eat a mini bagel with peanut butter. During a race, i usually hold a handheld bottle which has powerade zero diluted with water and will take 1 gel or a couple of energy cubes about…

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a good Friday. Decided not to do back-to-back runs this week, but will run tomorrow instead. It's way hot here...it's like 95 right now and nothing that i want to run in. Instead, I did Bryan Kest's Power Yoga 1 and 30 min interval program on the tm. What I'd really like to do is sit in…

Morning ladies! 5.55 mi run at 10:20 pace. Pinbot, glad you didn't hurt yourself from your fall. Good job getting back up and finishing your run! :flowerforyou: And i'm a HUGE fan of the foam roller! I truly believe every runner should have one, especially to use on your ITB.
-
welcome! i added you also :)
-
Welcome! Everyone is really suportive so jump right in. I've added you as a friend. Lisa

Good job making it up the hill!

Day off from running today. I've been trying to do yoga a couple of times a week since I've been running a bit more, so I did Bryan Kest's Power Yoga 1 today. Later tonight involves obtaining and getting back to my house a refrigerator.
-
That's a nice pace! :drinker:

7.4 miles....it's way hot here. Finished up around 9:30 am and it's already 87 degrees  I had wanted to start at 7 am, but i have 2 new kittens and one of them decided at 3 am that I needed a bath and then licked me for 15 minutes straight no matter how i tried to deter her  So, i wound up hitting snooze…
