I use the runkeeper app on my iphone. It logs time, distance and calories. The distance is done by GPS.

Personally, whilst this clearly is "activity" I'd not record it as exercise. There's an argument that this is just going about your daily business, whilst exercise is a concious activity to deliberately improve your body. That said, who am I to rain on your parade. Just be true to yourself.
