Can I suggest maybe not trying everything at once. Break things down into "bite-sized" pieces. Maybe for a month take out soda, then add walking around the block, then cut down on fast food, then add walking a mile. Don't think I have to lose from 288#, maybe do it in 5 or 10 pound increments. Little baby steps and that…

Wait...what, I thought I was to not eat any of the "white" foods.

Before or after I hit myself in the throat with a kettlebell this morning?

Why do people assume that everyone is at the gym for the same reason. There are people there to socialize, there are people there to work out (but not strenuous), there are people there working with injuries, there are people there to kick their own butts (sometimes theirs and someone elses!). Work on your own workout and…

I just want to bang on the drum all day!

Squats, squats and more squats!!

They open at 5 and you were there at 8, that's 3 hours of sweaty, slimy bodies using equipment that most people don't wipe down. I'd be happy that they were cleaning the equipment! Using sweated on slimed up equipment grosses me out!! Plus with the cold/flu season around here, more power to the cleaning supplies...I…

And how is this motivation and support?

I do all my measurements and weighing once a week. That way I can see a trend if anything changes from week to week.

That's fantastic! Congrats to your mom and you for helping her out!

I've got both and would agree. Turbo Jam would get you started with all the moves and form and such. Turbo Fire is a bit more intense, I like both but when I'm in a kick my own butt mood Turbo Fire goes in the machine as a first pick. Love them both for different reasons!

During my kickboxing class, the male instructor came over to correct my form. Just as he went to move my upper body I moved into the hit and low and behold, he got a free boob grab! Embarrassing, but I just kept going like nothing happened!

Oh, no...I breathe out and in....I'm not a real woman...

Awesomeness is Crocs. They will be prying my Crocs from my cold dead feet. I have numerous pair of the clogs and 3 different pairs of sandals...love, love, love.... Don't worry I don't want anyone talking to me, etc. Don't care...that is all...

I had my gall bladder removed in July 2012, since then I've gained 7 pounds. I have not changed anything diet or exercise in that time period that would explain the weight gain, so I hear you. I don't know if there is any other way to explain it, but the surgery...so sad...

You can search for something like "dog breed for me". I found one on iams.com. You go through and put in your criteria and they come up with breeds for your lifestyle and wants. That may help you narrow down your search. Also, I had a smooth coated collie. Great dog, very even temperment, couch potato, very intelligent,…

I've done both P90X and Supreme 90 day. Supreme 90 has much shorter workouts 30-40 minutes, where as P90x were all around an hour. I did do additional exercise with both, but I'm crazy. Of the two it would be much easier to do additional exercise with the Supreme 90, in my opinion. Good luck, they're fun work outs but good…

All protein bars are not created equal. I read my labels and make my choices from there. And sometimes I even make my own!

I don't drink beer (or any alcohol for that matter), does that mean I'm not a "real" woman, whatever the heck that means...

Ewwww.....I hate sweating.... I don't want to bulk up....

My advice, never compare your results to anyone else. That will drive you insane! People burn calories at different rates, lose weight at different lengths of time, etc. Do what works for you.

You will peel my well worn Crocs from my cold dead feet!!

You must always point out when your child is smarter, better, etc. than anyone elses. I think that is in the Parent Handbook. Come on, really you didn't know that?!

I have tinnitis and have to have noise on all the time or it will drive me insane. So during the day, radio and at night a white noise machine (you could use a fan or something else I guess, but a white noise machine works wonders for me). I also work out strenously 6 days a week (cardio and strength training).

Sounds yummy will have to try!

I was not a runner, never ran, never wanted to run. Last February I decided that I'd think outside the box and train myself to run a 5K. I did the C25K program and at the end of May I ran my first 5K. I did 4 others last summer. Still not much of a runner (14 min/mi) but I did something that I thought I'd never ever do!

HI All, There are at least 7 groups on MFP that are related to FM. Just go up to the bar above, click on the groups tab and then type in fibromyalgia...hope this helps and hope everyone is doing ok.

Haven't read all the posts, but just want to add that there are numerous people on here that are from countries that have English as a second language and don't necessarily know the proper word usage. Give people a break, you know what they mean.
