Running on a treadmill, I dropped my water bottle. Without even thinking, I turned around to pick it up. I fell right on my butt, and the treadmill pushed me off right onto the floor so I was facing everyone on the ellipticals! It was pretty hilarious. Otherwise, I probably make an *kitten* out of myself on most days when…

I do think you'll get the best results from free weights, and from compound lifts that work several muscles groups at once. I like the New Rules of Lifting, but you can also look at Starting Strength and Strong Lifts for some basic workouts.

Yes, make sure you aren't eating too little. Are you eating back your exercise calories? You should be eating back at least a portion of them if you are set at 1200. But give it time...keep making healthy changes and stick to them, and you will see results. It takes time!

Nice work!! What a big change! Congrats and keep it up!

What a fantastic goal! I ran a half marathon a few years ago, and found the book "Marathoning for Mortals" by John Bingham to be pretty helpful. He has training programs for half and full marathons, and he answers a lot of questions about training, fueling, shoes, etc. Good luck!!

Amazing! I love to see how small your new jeans are in comparison! What a great transformation...you should be really proud of all the work and effort you have put in.

Don't downplay that...2 minutes of planking is awesome!! Way to go!

I would say that lifting weights is where it's at!! Muscle is what really shapes your body. Lifting weights will give you nice definition in your shoulders and a round, lifted booty. I do Zumba too, but weight lifting has shaped my body more than hours of cardio ever could!

This!!! Absolutely the worst!
-
^^This is pretty much mine, too! Though I hadn't included Bench Press or Row. But definitely Squat, Dead Lift and Romanian Deadlift. Hope to have met this goal by the New Year!

Wow! You look great! Amazing abs!!!

I used an app called "100 Push Ups" and it was an every other day program that really helped me. It starts off by giving you a pre-test and sets your sets and reps based on that. I also started from an incline, as another poster mentioned. I used the Smith machine bar, and just kept moving the bar down. Eventually, I got…

I think you're definitely getting there!! I count them when I can fit in them and actually feel comfortable wearing them out in public. :)

Excellent article!! And congratulations on your accomplishments! You look amazing and to heck with the body police!

I'm in the same boat! Bumping for answers and ideas! :)

Very cute! I love Halloween, and I'm all about dressing up! I'm pretty much hosting a party, just so I can dress up. This year, I'm going to be Ariel. I still have to make my mermaid skirt! :)

What an awesome blog! Thanks for sharing that! I think I love those Express Rerock jeans, and I they are even on sale right now!

You won't bulk up! I swear! The heavier I lift, the smaller I get. I've been lifting for about a year now. I started with the book New Rules of Lifting for Women. I highly recommend it, and there is a group on here for people on the program. In general, with more weight, you'll be doing less reps. Though when I started…

Surgery always has its risks. One of my best friends had a tummy tuck this summer and had some pretty severe complications. Her incisions kept coming back open, there was fat necrosis and so she had huge holes in her abdomen that drained all over the place. She's doing better now, but it was rough, and it has been a long…

Gaining ground on my big lifts...I want triple digits on my squats, Romanian dead lifts, dead lifts and bench press!

Congrats on your accomplishments! I know a lot of hard work and effort went into your last year, and it definitely shows! You look fantastic! And what a cutie pie you have!

As much as I love the Go Lean Crunch, I could just not eat a whole bowl of it. It wasn't pleasant for anyone!!! Maybe try cutting back on it a bit. Now, I like to put just a bit in my Greek yogurt, but that's about all my body can handle.
-
I like to make veggie or turkey wraps on whole wheat tortillas. Also, salads with some baked or grilled chicken. In the winter, I make a pot of turkey chili, soup or risotto and bring those for lunch. Hummus and pita chips or veggies. And I add Greek yogurt and fruit almost daily. I do have to chop veggies, but I do it on…

I have several people in my Zumba classes that make it more of a low-impact work out. You don't need to do all the hopping or jumping...maybe just start off taking it easy. It is a really fun workout and the people in my classes are really supportive of one another. Give it a try!

You're an inspiration! You are beautiful (even in your before pics!), but now you look so happy and fit! Congratulations!!
-
Wow! Amazing job!! You look FANTASTIC! I bet your husband won't be able to take his eyes off of you!

Great job on the weight loss!! I know it can be very frustrating. Have patience, keep doing what you're doing, and the pants size will change. And think how much healthier you must feel with the extra weight lost and by eating all the healthy fruits and veggies! Don't worry...it will happen for you if you keep at it!!…

This^^^^ Haha! I sweat profusely, and it hasn't gotten any better as I have gotten more fit. I just wear a dry wicking work out clothes and bring a towel. There is no way that I can workout over my lunch, as my hair is usually dripping wet. Oh, and I only wear black bottoms, or else I totally look like I wet myself!!!…

I took the Myers Briggs at work last year...100% Extrovert! But even I still need some peace and quiet every now and then!

You are awesome. You might be my new favorite person!!
