On YouTube, I really enjoy the Fitness Blender workouts, and Yoga with Kassandra. Both have TONS of options! Fitness Blender is simple to follow, and will give modifications if needed as well.

Wow, that's amazing!! Congrats on your accomplishment, and best wishes as you work towards your goal!

For me, there are just so many benefits to strength training, other than looking "toned." Like a poster above said, building muscle will help you keep bone mass as you age, you will burn more calories even at rest. See article for some of the other benefits. Personally, I have grown to love lifting, and would rather do…

Do you lift on your non-fasting days? Just starting a 5:2 IF program and thinking I will lift on days I'm at normal calories. What is your program like?
-
This is good advice! When I first started lifting, I really wanted to learn what I was doing first. New Rules of Lifting was a great starting point, and I would also watch videos on YouTube to see form. Lifting is awesome and will make you feel strong and confident. It tightens things up in a way that cardio does not.

Great work!! Congratulations on your accomplishments! And you look way younger now, too, by the way!
-
Fantastic job! Your hard work is evident!!

It's a great program and a great place to start lifting. Definitely check out the group...it will help you through the stages when you have questions. I completed it and then moved to Strong Lifts 5x5. Now I'm onto New Rules of Lifting Super Charged. I think it is their latest program. I would say if you are new to…

Bumping for any future posts on this. I also have a twingey knee when I squat lately.

Fantastic job! You look amazing! You definitely look so much younger now, too. Congrats on all of your hard work! Hope Cyndi was awesome!

Beeps rocks! Look at those abs and shoulders! She knows what she's talking about, ladies!
-
Bumping for my future reference!

All I can think of when I hear this song is Johnny sweeping Daniel-san's leg in the finals! Love it!
-
That was a rude thing of her to say, and I'm sorry that you had to hear it. But if it helps to motivate you, then all the better! Keep your head up and don't let others bring you down! And your daughter will love you regardless, but one of my biggest motivators was being a good example to my children and also being able to…

Good for you! I think that's the way a lot of people start running...walk a while, run a while, repeat! Good luck with your new endeavor!
-
I'm in a similar place as you with SL, and I have been adding pull-ups, pushups and some other leg work like walking lunges and Bulgarian split squats. I'm also starting the Focus T25 DVD's soon (as soon as I order them!), which is by Shaun T., the maker of Insanity. They are only 25 minute long videos with what looks like…

1. Can't wait to try this. 2. Who doesn't just adore a young Keanu Reeves? Thanks for that gif!

What a great accomplishment! Not sure why it' working this time, but keep at it and I know you'll reach your goals!!

More often than not, I'm the only woman in the free weights section. I'm used to it now, and actually kind of like it that way. Forget that woman, and do your thing! If you need to figure out what you're doing with the free weights, do some reading (New Rules of Lifting is good) or watch some Mark Rippetoe videos…

Good for you!! I'm wondering how many other people are going to try that, just like I did. (It wasn't great for me!) That's a move I've never even thought to try! :) Today I dead lifted 160! I was pretty excited about that!
-
Thanks for the summary on this. I will def listen to this later!
-
You look fantastic!! And I bet you feel so much better. You look young and healthy now! Keep at it! BTW, adorable puppy!

I try to only shampoo every other day, and I usually try to plan my shampoo days for when I run or do zumba. Then my non-shampoo days are when I lift. I still get sweaty on the lifting days (I ALWAYS sweat!), but it's not nearly as bad as on my cardio days. I use a dry shampoo on occasion. I found some decent stuff at…

I love that she added a push up at the end of each pike jack knife! That's one way to step it up!
-
Congrats! What a fun reward!! I got mine pierced a few years back as a motivation to see my abs again, and I love it. BTW, you look amazing! I looked at some of your photos on your profile and you have changed so much! You look years younger and you are rocking those bathing suits!! Way to go!

I did my first last summer, and it was a blast! I agree with Elena, in that there were a lot of hills to climb and run up, and lots of pulling yourself up onto things. I didn't train for the Warrior Dash, per se, but just did my normal weight training, including push ups and occasional runs. I will work more on running…

Oysters...will NEVER in a million years try them either. Those of you who have never had Nutella...don't start! It's addictive! Finally, I had my first, and possibly my last, brussel sprouts yesterday. Blech!

Just bumping to save videos and info...

Trying to work on my potty mouth...especially around my kids! Also decided last night that I will try giving up pizza. It just makes me feel gross anymore to eat, so might as well.

Great job! You look amazing! You should be really proud of your accomplishments!
