Not sure if this is why but I don't eat many carbs after lunchtime, so when I wake I'm usually starving!! As in my stomach grumbling wakes me most of the time. I went for years with not eating any breakfast though, just a cup of coffee...but now I can't imagine not having breakfast! Each to their own I guess, do what works…

Wow lots of good stuff in here, and congrats on your awesome transformation!! I just want to see if anyone has any other hints or tips because I feel like I'm getting disheartened and scared of going off track. My typical routine is this..45-60 mins cardio min 500 cal burn, eat carbs til lunch (although I don't eat bread,…

Haha yeah tell me about it! I'm in South Auckland :) how long have you been living in NZ? I will try and add you, haven't figured out how to do it on phone yet

Hey, good on you for starting :) I'm also in NZ what part are you in?
-
Hey :) I'm also in my 30's and have 4 children (2 of each) my youngest is now 7 so I have no excuse but still have around 15kg to lose. I can't seem to add people on my phone but feel free to add me.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I must admit while I was away at the beach I became a little down, feeling I haven't made much improvement and thinking I'd be closer to my goal by now. Just need to focus on the smaller goals rather than buying a bikini just yet :) hehe

I like the saying 'you lose weight in the kitchen, you get fit in the gym'. I admit I was never big on exercising but when I became serious about getting healthy I bought a treadmill and joined a gym. I now do 45-60 mins cardio first thing and weight train 5 days in the afternoon. The program I follow only takes 19 mins to…

I started making changes around August last year then got more serious about it in October. I am only 157cm and eating around 1500 cals a day. I also workout 6 days a week but that isn't for weight loss, more for health/fitness and I actually enjoy it now

Auckland NZ :) I can't figure out how to add people, when I click on their name it takes me to another page..

I will be doing the majority of running on a treadmill, for the first while at least. I'm assuming there is a big difference between treadmill and outside so will prob venture outside after I'm used to actually running for that distance for a while.

Thanks all, very helpful information! Will re read it all when I get a chance to sit down for a few mins

I'm down for some new pals ???? Anna I'm from NZ and a parent but slightly shorter (157)..will I do? ????

I recently bought the exact same HRM and I have found the opposite! While using treadmill/bike I get a significantly lower calorie amount from HRM so I use that one as I'm assuming it's more accurate. Also my HR gets up to 160ish (very fast pace and highest incline) after 30 mins or so, maybe yours isn't reading properly?…

I am in New Zealand so I'm just heading to bed after a good day, stayed within calories and burned 500 calories on my treadmill. Bring on tomorrow where my goal is to drink more water!
-
Hmm it is in the system but I'll add it in manually instead, thanks

Awesome tips thanks! I do have digital scales that I usually weigh everything (even condiments) haha but I will start weighing meat also, the 1 cup was an over estimate too lol! Time to weigh in now ???? hehe, thanks again for all the feedback x

Erica - so sorry to hear of your losses ???? it is never easy at all. Good on you for starting this challenge x

I feel your pain! I feel like I'm obsessing as well and I weighed this morning (official weigh is tomorrow) and have put on 600g despite 1200cals and exercising every day bar one. It is so disheartening and wonder what I could be doing wrong. Sorry I have no advice just wanted to let you know your not alone ????

Yep I have a protein shake every day at morning tea but would 2 a day be too much?

Hi guys, I'm Selina and live in Auckland, New Zealand. I'm currently around 88kg and would like to be around 75kg by the end of the 100 days.. My eating is pretty tight at the moment and I do a bit of walking on treadmill and cycling on a stationary bike as I have a knee injury preventing me from doing some things (would…

Thanks I've just made diary public (thought it was to be honest) yeah I had thought about switching from lite yogurt etc but then that put the sugar content up too. But thanks for the comments ???? I feel so confused as to know what's the right and wrong thing!

I'd like to say once a week but realistically 2 or 3 sometimes 4 times in one week and yep, I freak out when I see something and happening. For example I weighed this morning (tomorrow is official weight record day) and scale says I have put on 600g since last weigh in!! My goal next week is to not weigh til my proper day…

This has been really interesting to read, I'm semi worried I'm not eating enough even Though when I look at my diary I am eating regularly and good amounts. MFP put me at 1200 cals (I'm short) but I bumped it upto 1370 or something, and I'm still struggling to find what else to eat. I'm wondering if I should see a…

Yes sure it's Red Seal brand, however I live in New Zealand so not sure if it's available elsewhere, it really is devine. I don't put sugar or anything in it. Thanks ????

Hey, I'm just new to this but I 'think' I'm on a lowish carb diet..I have wheat bix or oats for breakfast usually but I don't eat bread, potatoes, pasta. Eat rice a few times a week maybe and usually at lunch, and the rest complex carbs etc.

Just joined this 100 day group too, can't wait!!

Hi, I'm new here and looking for buddies, have quite a bit of weight to lose but trying so hard. All the best to everyone and feel free to add ????
