WELCOME! You've definitely made the right choice. MyFitnessPal is truly a "pal". I know, I've lost 13 pounds since July 1, with about 20 more to go! Since I started MFP, I've had less than three days that my calories have been over my limit (1,200/day). As for cooking at home, great idea; but I prefer Lean Cuisine meals.…

Welcome Sheron! MyFitnessPal is a very supportive site. I've been on since July 1 and still loving it. I know you will, too. Besides, FREE is best. Nope, I haven't had to call "Jenny" yet! My sister-in-law has lost a lot using Jenny Craig, but it is too expensive for me. I think this site is a friendly, helpful place to…

Joey, don't put it off. Doctors don't always know (or seem to care) when something that painful is really a serious problem. I have a "fatty tumor" on my back, but it's just below my neck between my shoulder blades. I didn't even know I had it until my sister saw it when we were on vacation getting ready to get in the…

You've come to the right place! MyFitnessPal (MFP) is my best friend right now. I've lost 13 pounds since July 1, with only 20 to go! My best advice: Before you eat it, record it to see how many cals or carbs you have left. This has been my best motivation. I chew Green Tea Gum and drink lots of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea…

Welcome! You're gonna love myfitnesspal (MFP)! It's inspirational without being pushy. I've lost 12 pounds in about six weeks just because of having to keep track of what I eat. No diet pills, just vitamins and meds I take for fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis...... But it's nice that I can take that 30-minute walk, then…

Welcome Ezzie! You've come to the right place! I joined this site July 1 and have already lost ten pounds just counting calories and walking 30+ minutes a day, six days a week. I enjoy a lot of Lean Cuisine dinners and drink lots of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea with Splenda, which seems to be doing the job! In the past, I have…

I'd say every step counts! I put on my pedometer when I get dressed in the mornings and record the steps I've taken as I get undressed for bed. I also try to walk 30 minutes six days a week, which is also recorded on the pedometer. What's that saying about all of us needing at least 10,000 steps a day? I'd say count it…
