NICELY DONE!!! So very very proud of you!

Think of it this way- if you ate 200 or 50 calories short just once or twice, would you have weight loss? (The answer is no. on both accounts) One pound is 3,500 calories. And there is more to your weight than fat. Water, salt, you name it, it affects the number on the scale. Focus on how you feel, how your clothes feel,…

Companionship. When I'm 80, my best friend will still be there holding my hand while I make fun of him for being old and 82. It's really that simple.

I'm the crazy pet mother who would jump in the middle of the road to stop my dog from being hit by a car. With that being said, I also don't have kids. Priorities may change. But right now, I'd do anything for her.

I was JUST going to say this

So you are getting bombarded with a lot of information and a lot of technical terms, and no one is really wrong at all. But I hope to clarify this for you in one simple post. You were probably eating at least 3,500-5,000 calories a day to carry the weight you did. So we know that is too much. I'm 6' and weight 175, and I…

Thank you for your words. I'm glad it helped. Its hard to have a parent you can't trust your emotions with. They take advantage of them and manipulate them. I'm glad you have the card, and a reminder of better days :flowerforyou:

thank you for your kind words. It is hard, but thankfully I have wonderful mother figures in my life. The hardest part is that it's impossible to actually replace your mom, so you need to learn to live with that hole. I just hope that this can help someone else who may have similar problems with a bipolar family member.

wow! great job! you are doing so well!!!! amazing makeup too btw :flowerforyou:

There has to be something in you that clicks. It's like turning on the switch to decide you are doing it. Maybe you need to turn that switch on for Lunch. And the recommit when you approach Dinner. And then recommit when you have Breakfast the next day. Does that make sense? That's the only thing I can think to help.…

MY PEOPLE!!!!! :) I live on the wrong side of the pond, but I'm right there with you all! Crafts of choice: Quilting, beading, general shenanigans that involve a glue gun Geek of choice: LOTR, Dr Who, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Supernatural, Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Sherlock, Star Trek... the list goes on and on and on.... OMG…

if nothing else, drinking lots of water gives you something to do besides snacking. and all those trips to the potty are extra steps on the day!

My body fat is in the low 20s. Can't be sure, as I know those scales that measure them can be off a bit. I think it's very dangerous to tell a woman to operate at 12% body fat, as my gynecologist said I was at an optimal body fat percentage for child rearing. Granted, not every woman's goal is child rearing.

This got a bit technical. I did my very best to read through, and read through the comments. I've "plateaued" currently. I previously got down to 163, back up to 179 after our honeymoon, but I'm currently stuck at 172. But I'm exercising this time around, building strength. No, I'm not saying I have 10 pounds of muscle.…

Guys, don't get sucked in. She's a 18 year old girl, one friend, these are her only forum posts, she only had 7 pounds to lose, and her profile pic is a Disney Princess. She is one of the poor unfortunate souls (see what I did there?!) that has an eating disorder. And if not an eating disorder, an unhealthy relationship…

mmm yep. I have found Dr Oz to be a good starting point for information. However, you must then do research to dig a bit deeper and find out if what he is saying applies to you. You put Dr. Oz in the title, so you will get a LOT of haters. I'd consider myself a strong disliker, but your body is your business. Please don't…

OMG. OMGOMGOMG. YOU. are my hero.

according to that rule, my husband would have spent almost $15k on my ring. Instead, for both my engagement ring and band, he paid about $1,500. It's absolutely perfect. It isn't a big rock, but it's a high quality rock. Completely colorless and completely clear. You'd be amazed how big a difference that makes. it depends…

amazing success! so incredibly proud of you and your accomplishments! thank you for sharing this!

This guy put it very bluntly, but I have to admit, I agree with him. I've never had luck with dog parks. It's the equivalent of letting a bunch of sugar high 3 year old' who have never met run around in the playground when there is only 1 basketball and 1 swing, while their parents turn their back. I prefer structured dog…

you're on a weight loss website #justsayin

My first response: Are you ****ing kidding me?! My second response: Go to your doctor and you BEST listen to them when they say to eat about 2500 calories a day. Don't you DARE do anything to put your child's life in danger!

Cabot is the bee's knees around here! I've gone on a tour of the facility myself! I'm sorry you had this experience, but as a New Englander, I would encourage people to still try Cabot's cheeses and milks. They are the best!

yep. you learn to love it. I can't do a day without!

A perfect example of how to accomplish the seemingly unaccomplishable. Congratulations on your success thus far! And thank you for sharing your great attitude!

Yep. You need to eat more. And what you eat needs to be better quality. Cut down on sodium. Up the Protein. Reduce the fat a bit. give it time. Congrats on taking the first step to be here.
