  • For me, like many others, it's never stopped being a struggle. I'm also pretty sure it never will. Some days are definitely easier than others...try and figure out why that is, it helps. I find being busy helps me out and also having lots of people around me. Use this site on your bad days, it helps me get some sense of…
  • So agree with that...you'd never get bored of cheese

  • I remember when I was about 9 or 10 my Mum sitting me down and saying that I shouldn't 'go around' with a friend down the street, because we looked silly together. She was a year younger and tiny! My Mum is wonderful, always has been and always will be, so I don't know where the advice came from. It came from love no…
  • Sit on your hands? No, then you'll get zero work done! Have a cup of tea of coffee, that always helps me :drinker: Out of English interest...what are jujubes? I remember hearing Patrick Swayze talk about them in Dirty Dancing and have always wondered what they were

  • Great to hear you're going to keep on trying  Weight losses of more than a couple of pounds never happen quickly. I think about the long run now and it makes life a lot easier. I put on weight so quickly that staying the same weight one week makes me think at least that isn't 2, 3 or 4 on! So thinking that way is…
  • I agree with the idea of changing things up a bit. Don't eat the same things day on day and swap around the exercise you do. That often starts things moving again. If you're already doing this, you probably need to keep checking in what you're eating, drinking and exercising and bear with it. We all have plateaus. The hard…
  • I think I often used to only stop eating when I was full instead of when I wasn't hungry any more. I've learnt that I don't need to feel full to be ok, as long as I don't feel physically hungry. That make any sense? Leave food for when you feel hungry...
  • If I think of all the healthy people I know (that don't wash bananas) they've never had any problems. I don't wash any fruit, and apart from being over weight lol, I have never been ill from anything like this :(
  • By washing them I don't think we really do much...life has contaminants, it's what makes us strong and free from infection. We need a bit of exposure, even to rat wee lmao :)
  • I'd love to go vegetarian, but worried about protein especially since I have a gastric band...anybody know anyone in that position? Great for you, congrats!
  • I weigh in once a week, because personally I can get a bit obsessed with standing on the scales every morning. It begins to run my day! Once a week is enough to check that you're going in the right direction but not so often that you see daily fluctuations. Hope my opinion helps? P
