You never regret the workouts you do, only the ones you don't. My new mantra.

whoops; forgot to search the forums first. sorry.

I always cut off both ends of the grapefruit, then cut off the rest of the peel from top to bottom, removing all the white pith and the outer edge of each section all the way around. Put a bowl underneath as it's very juicy! I then use my knife to section out each individual segment. Sometimes you can work your knife down…

Here's an article on cold-weather exercise: http://www.texasheart.org/HIC/Topics/HSmart/cold_weather.cfm I know that cold weather is particularly taxing on the heart, especially if you have prior heart issues (which this article talks about, too). Under Armour has some really good stuff to wear, albeit kind of pricey:…

Hmm. The Sunday/Monday weigh-ins aren't treating me right. Today's weight: 226.6. Much better!

SW: 233 11/21: 230.8 (-2.2) 11/28: 229.0 (-1.8) 12/5: 229 8 wk GW: 223 bleah. I guess I better bump up the workout intensity. I walked more this week instead of Shred and BL CardioMax. I guess I better go back to them.

Oh yes, I had trouble getting back into the swing of things. No exercise Sat, Sun, or Mon! Bad, bad, bad. Tried to make up for it today by shredding level 2 for the first time.....and I think I better go back to level 1. Plank-jumps---as if! Not quite ready for those.

SW: 233 11/21: 230.8 (-2.2) 11/28: 229.0 (-1.8) 8 wk GW: 223 I was actually down a lb more right before Thanksgiving, but the long weekend was a bit rough, even though I didn't eat nearly as much as in years past. Plus, I worked out twice a day for both Thanksgiving dinners I went to. Back on track this week, though.

I saw a good one on some Facebook page: Sweat is fat crying.

I think the key is to not give up and stick with it. Each day your stamina gets a little better--really! I honestly find that fact totally amazing. I did it 3 days in a row last week, walked 30-40 minutes over the week (but no shred), and then did shred again today. Don't get me wrong--I still hated Jillian's ever-living…

Good idea! SW: 233 Wk1 weigh in: 230.8 (-2.2) 8 wk GW: 223

Checking in...weigh in this morning was 230.8, so down 2.2. I started last Wednesday, so I'm hoping for more by my "official" weigh in on Wednesday. Did 30DS everyday except yesterday, when I walked. Hoping to do another walk today if it stops raining, then back to 30DS tomorrow!

Awesome! Stories like this give me hope. I'm starting at 233, now down to 230.8 after my first week. I know "slow but steady wins the race" but it's so hard sometimes to keep that attitude. Patience is not one of my virtues! I've never done the Firm--how does it compare with 30 Day Shred?…

Here's an interesting site: http://getdrunknotfat.com/ The calories listed are per 12 oz (a can of beer), so you'd have to do a little math to figure out how many calories per shot of rum or whatever. I think a shot is 1.5 oz. I loves me a good beer, too, but if I drink something else it's usual Capt. Morgan and Coke Zero…

Welcome! I just started Wednesday this week. I've been a little hungry myself. Apples, a mozzarella cheese stick, or a handful of walnuts or almonds seem to keep me from going on a binge when the rumblings start. Water really helps, too, and in fact since I've started drinking more water, I think in the past I would eat…

Hi! I'm Paula, and I'm looking forward to losing the weight I need to! This site is the first time I've ever tried anything like this, so I'm a bit nervous to share my weight baggage and insecurities. I'm a work at home mom (book editor) in the Midwest, so my job is pretty inactive, plus I have easy access to the fridge…
