Made it to the 100's!

Hesitant to write this, but I am so excited about getting out of the 200's. I have to say something. I have three kids 7yrs, 6 yrs, and 3yrs and I am a stay at home mom. I am so excited that eating healthy and balanced meals/snacks and exercising is really working. I started at 230 and have been steadily dropping about 2lbs a week. Finally the scale reached the onehundreds. I am now down 33 pounds. I set my goal at 159, just because its the first number in the healthy range for my height. I am almost half way there.
I began with the interval training workouts )from The Firm Express) for the first month. It really helped me see results in muscles. I started feeling stronger after the first week. Started dropping pounds in week 3. I lost 13 lbs after I completed the first month.
I started doing couch to 5k training on the treadmill at the gym after I finished the first month. I still have days that I don't think I can make it to the gym, if one of the kids is sick, I can't go to the gym, so I do a Firm workout as a plan B.
I have had to cut back on training because of some shin pain, but I still go in and get it done. I have a game plan for workouts during the holiday this week to get my 4-5 work-outs in. I feel like this is finally a habit. I feel like I'm stronger now and I feel so good after I have finished dripping sweat and working hard.
Good job to everyone who is taking the time to take care of yourselves. Keep working hard. We will get there the right way. We can do this!
Best, Hetty

Super mama! :-)))
It's not easy with kids and other commitments in your life but since this is the very best you can do to yourself - and indirectly to your family too - just keep on doing it! Seeing results and being able to compare how you looked and felt before you started to shed kilos is a big motivation already.
Sometimes when my motivation was low, I thought that "Every kilo I get off adds 1 more healthy, happy year to my life!" and I got greedy to have a lot of healthy, happy years, lol!
Congratulations and good luck - to all!!!0 -
Awesome! Stories like this give me hope. I'm starting at 233, now down to 230.8 after my first week. I know "slow but steady wins the race" but it's so hard sometimes to keep that attitude. Patience is not one of my virtues!
I've never done the Firm--how does it compare with 30 Day Shred?

Not sure what the30 day shred is? The Firm is 12 different DVD's and an eating plan. Balanced whole foods. No crash diets or anything. The workouts are very intense and last 20 minutes. I sweat more than I ever have before when I do them. Its interval type training. You keep your heart rate up and then do sets of bursts during the workout. I tend to get bored easily, so doing each of the DVDs once a month seemed a little more doable for me.
I had tried the P90 stuff with Tonly Horton before, but I didn't see the results like I do with the Firm. I really really liked the challenge of doing each of the videos once a month. They are hard, but the results started coming quickly. I have no patience either. I need to see that things are happening to stay motivated. The running has dropped weight faster, Put on a little Prince on the iPod and just start. I don't care who's watching. If they are wasting time watching me working at the gym, I'm thinking they have more problems than I do. haha.

Congratulations on fabulous One-derand! You're an inspiration. I started around 230 and just can't wait to hit below 200 also. Thanks for the tip on the Firm, hadn't heard of that one before. Best on your continued journey )0
