I'll have a healthy snack / small meal before going to a party so I won't be starving or go buck wild. Usually if I'm satiated I am good about having just a taste of my favorite things. Weekends are also my only times when I can fit in longer more intense workouts. So even if I'm not eating as well as I do during the week…

Congratulations! That is awesome.

I agree 100%. I know that my experience is not everyone's, but I gained weight and lost my hair on it. And he shouldn't be arguing about birth control. If he is disagreeing with you on blood pressure or thyroid medicine that there could be good reasons for you to be on specific drugs than that makes some sense. But why…

You look awesome and totally kick *kitten*. There is one nearby in September, and I really want to try one but someone told me the crowds were intense and you had to wait in line for obstacles. Did you have the experience, were the crowds very bad? I was so pumped for it, but she made it sound less awesome. Great job!

I had gotten up to half way through week 3 in May but stopped because I got the flu and then had an insane work schedule. I'm back though! I did Week 1 this morning. I love these workouts. They are varied and make me feel strong even when they are hard. For those of you who had a hard time and couldn't finish it, keep at…

Mine too! I find this really wacky and thought I imagined it on day one.

Just did Week 3 for the first time. And wow, it is tough. I had to stop a whole bunch of times. Week 1 was a challenge but doable and week 2 was not easy but by the end I could do it all and enjoyed it. Week 3 kicked my butt. I couldn't even do 1 of some of the challenging moves. I'm looking forward to see how quickly I…

ETA: This was a response to parkermegan...I didn't hit the quote button. I'm sure the c-section and pregnancy with twins hasn't helped. I didn't have a section but pregnancy definitely weakened my core. You'll get there. You had major surgery and babies stretching you out for months on end, it'll take a little bit to get…

I've been doing Ripped in 30 and am on Week 2, Day 3. I really like it so far. Week 1 I was able to get through without any problems and week 2 is definitely more of a challenge. I was curious how heavy your weights are...I am using 3s and 5s. And on week 1 I would combine them sometimes to get 8 lbs. What are other people…

I over did it too...I'm food detoxing today. I ate so much candy, hi-fat crap and alcohol. Ugh. I felt horrible last night; I actually went to bed with a stomach-ache because of all the crappy food I'd put in my system. That isn't something I do normally even when I'm not trying to loose weight. So I started fresh this…

I lost 6 lbs in the first month.

You look great. I personally wouldn't wear it because I'd feel to old in it and I'd worry about showing off my girly bits by accident. But if you feel good in it go for it!

The shoes and dress look awesome together, and you look incredible! I'd go with an updo and some statement earrings...maybe gold. And maybe a coordinating funky bracelet. That is a seriously hot outfit!

I hated school PE and was always the out of shape one in a fit family, and now I really enjoy exercise. What helped me was doing videos at home and finding ones that I liked. I had a friend that called the feeling after exercise "an inside shower" basically you feel refreshed and strong after working out. I LOVE this…

Just wanted to say thanks for the good advice. I went to the DR and had an MRI and an MRA and found out I have skinny carotid arteries. :( Now I'm going to a specialist. But thanks for the firm "go to the dr." I tend to put off visits and I'm really glad I went.

The lowest amount that MFP will give you is 1200 calories. Being a guy, you will always get to eat more. My husband always got to eat more than I did when we were trying to lose weight. His body is bigger and needs more fuel. When I got close to goal my calories were reduced to 1200. It's never recommended that you eat…

I don't have much to offer than my experience. For my body 2500 calories isn't a deficit at all. I'm breastfeeding an almost 7 month old and have been cutting my calories to around 1800 or so for about a month and haven't seen any reduction in milk (I know exactly how much I produce because I pump at work). With my first I…

Sounds good to me. :)

You can do it! I'm working on losing the weight from number two who is 6 months old. I got down to 160 before my first pregnancy and back down to 160 before this latest pregnancy and I will do it again. And so will you!

Thanks that is a big help.

Hi - I'm 33 weeks pregnant with number 2. I'm due June 29th. I just joined to try and keep myself more accountable, as I seem to be gaining more with this one than I did with the first one. I'm curious how did you ladies come up with a target number of calories? I'm familiar with the add 300 calories more, but I'm not sure…
