Working, slowly, on losing a couple hundred.

I suspect this won't be taken well, but you clearly have no clue what true hatred is.

HHGG Trilogy.

Biggest? Hard to say because I haven't found one yet that I won't face down, and I have a heck of a list of phobias.

Oh... you can get healthy at Subway, but you're not going to find the infamous 'clean' eating there.

What surprises me is why this would surprise anyone with any common sense.

Not that I care one way or another about the whole sugar thing, but the number of articles and tv program in the last week alone only means that the media is catering to the New Years resolutionists and nothing more. And what you're saying isn't new, this belief has been around for quite some time just pretty much ignore…

Becoming myself again.

Gotcha. I have a tendency of putting cream and/or sugar in coffee that is, at best, mediocre, but good coffee I love black. If you want to cut out the sweet, best I can say is just drink it black for a week and you should have gotten used to the taste and find it tasting odd if you put sugar or sweetener in it. I don't…

I'm kind of confused, how could someone love coffee but think it tastes terrible without additives.. That out of the way, why are you cutting back on your sweetener? I'd keep using it if it's the way you like your coffee.

That's truly an amazing loss. Congrats on your success.

Which is why I don't really understand some of these threads, but they're interesting and/or entertaining to read at times and occasionally comment on. ~uses sugar, splenda as I feel like it~

Thanks for the response. That actually makes sense to me. Working in a time crunch but still getting healthy stuff rather than store bought shakes and such

The thing I've never understood about juicing is how it could possibly be any different than just eating fresh veg and fruit. To me, the only thing you're doing is losing the fibre, which isn't necessarily a good thing, and cutting the time it takes to chew. I have nothing against doing it, if you're getting the nutrients…

I have started to think that while sugar is not a bad thing, the reality that sugar exacerbates cravings in a lot of people exists. So, more sugar in the diet, more cravings, more eating. Vicious cycle. No, no sources, nothing more than my babbling brain.

Put aside enough to cover my husband and I for our longest likely lifetimes. Redecorate our place. Pay off the debts of family members and give them a bit extra. Pay to have a friends place fixed up the way it needs to be. Buy a modest house in BC. The balance would be given to two particular charities I support.

My first car was a 70s-something Mustang. It had the clutch from hell and if stopping on even the slightest incline was necessary, you had no choice but to get out and push.

Bumping because I can't believe I've never seen this before either.

I'm afraid, though I can appreciate the man's plight having to sit next to an obese person, that any sympathy I might have had for him went out the window when I read his completely offensive writing style. I'd say his other screwed up flying experiences are solely due to karma kicking his *kitten*.

I'm pretty certain there are a couple of groups already out there. I'm in one for losing 200 and people over 300lbs, but both are very quiet content-wise. However, if anyone would like to add me to their friends, they're welcome to do so.

1. Dr. Who 2. M.A.S.H. 3. Hannibal 4. Golden Girls 5. Law & Order Edited because Farscape needs to be mentioned.

Now, in answer to the OP. My first question is have you discussed with your prescriber alternatives for paxil that will not hold the weight on you? My psych took my weight into account when making choices for my 'scripts. I've been on paxil, a couple of times, both alone and in combination with other meds, and it did not…

You really don't understand what your meds did for you. You say, specifically "Loaded up on AD's and I started exercising and got off them". What makes you think you could have started exercising without them? Maybe the meds got you to a point where it kickstarted your ability to exercise and, yes, now you don't need the…

Nice advice. Guess what. Until I found the right combination of pills, I couldn't get my act together enough to exercise and lose weight.

No.

This actually examples, I think, the question I have with the accuracy of the wrist worn version of fitbits.

I very rarely cook, my husband does it and he's not going to change the way he cooks or eats for me, nor would I consider asking him to. I simply choose to go with portion control. Thankfully he loves vegetables.

Anyone resident for any length of time in a hot and/or sunny country making fun of someone for putting on sunscreen is more likely to be doing so as a revenge for the person having annoyed them, not because they think applying sunscreen is crazy. As a resident in a relatively warm tourist place people are more likely to…

Day by day, hour by hour. Right now I'm working under 15 minutes at a time. Along with taking in every positive thing I can on the topic. TV shows, inspirational sayings, success stories. Also... don't deprive yourself of anything but amount.
