To be honest, ads pushing WW and Jenny Craig annoy me more.

Yes, to a point. I'm 51, and have been obese to morbidly obese for 90 percent of my adult life. Blood sugar is great. Cholesterol is great. Blood pressure great. Injuries heal quickly and when I do catch a bug I am usually over it long before most other people. I do have mental health issues, and am having joint issues in…

Sure you can. But you know, in your position I'd probably log and keep it private out of curiosity to see the numbers. But I have a thing for tracking stuff.
-
Yeah. To the point that it sometimes takes me a while to pinpoint that specifically got my attention.

When I went looking MFP was the first place I ran across, it offered everything I wanted plus a great community. Haven't bothered looking for anything else.

~raises hand~ Chocolate almost daily.

Really it's not just about McDonald's. I think the point is that you can eat ANYTHING, so long as you do so keeping in mind calories and nutrition. People always seem to see the word 'McDonald's' and lose sight of the big picture.

~chuckles~ Getting struck my lightning alone is bad for you. Not ever having a Krispy Kreme, in my estimation? Neither here nor there. They are so not worth the hype.

I've looked into this a lot and this is what seems to be the reality. There are a lot of factors involved in whether your loose skin will rebound or not so there is no one pat answer. How much you lost. - The more you had to lose, the less likelihood for rebound. How long you were fat. - The longer you were fat the less…

This stuns me. You lost... well... me. Incredibly amazing and inspirational.

Thank you for sharing this. I love your perspective on things.

Most of the time, but it doesn't mean I actually like them.

Different things at different times.

Based on purely anecdotal evidence, I'd say yes, but it depends on your definition of addiction. In my younger years I drank a great deal, daily, to the point that I should have become an alcoholic. I certainly drank far more than others I knew. But when I made the decision to stop drinking I simply did, no struggle. And…

Bumps to see what others answer. Motivation is presently my problem.

If you think the information possibly provided to you is worth the money, go for it. I think most of us have spent money on some sort of diet plan at one point or another. Personally, I think that most people would get more benefit from putting in the effort to learn the things on their own rather than rely on someone else…

Maybe that's why McDonalds is so salty.

I never really worried about yoga mats before this comment. Now I find myself wondering a. how they taste and b. what they're made out of.

I'm kind of a purest. Unless you watch them from the start of the first series (I don't mean necessarily in order, it's just easier if you do), you don't fall under proper Whovian status. However, I expect I'm a rarity in that belief. ~chuckles~

This. Personally, I am less concerned about the diet pills than I am about what your psych said to you.

All specific 'cleanse' products are nothing more than hype to take your money. I suggest that you simply eat fresh fruits and vegetables, along with a moderate amount of protein, and plenty of water.

As a non-religious person, for me marriage dealt with some legal issues that otherwise would have driven me crazy.
-
Well the meaning of life is 42... so I'm going with that.

I don't see a problem with raising a child vegetarian, so long as the parents take care to make certain that the child gets all the necessary nutritional requirements
-
Yup.

Nope. Most of the time my husband and I use separate bathrooms, but when we have to share we work on the 'whoever last used it gets to leave the seat the way they want it' theory.
-
Clearly I need to start paying more attention to what people talk about because I was pretty much under the impression that if you're obese, you're automatically not healthy. Now, the definition of obese needs to be clarified since we all know that BMI isn't a good measure.

This needed research?

Great. Now I want gummy candies. Just the topic name did that. ~chuckles~ But that aside, obviously if you're vegan or vegetarian, don't eat them. But otherwise? I'd rather as much of an animal be used as is possible, so I'm good with the origins of gelatin.

Oh... I like Poe's Law ~grins~
