  • I'm the same age as your sister, and she has to come to the realization that her weight is a problem. You can't force someone to lose weight and keep it off, they have to decide to do it themselves. Some movies/documentaries/videos may sway her, but she has to make the changes herself. Fat sick and nearly dead I thought…
  • Thank you everyone! :flowerforyou: I'm just elated that I did it!
  • I love caramel apples and candy apples , and my local farmers market since we just had apple festival still sells them! They're so tasty and the highlight of fall and Halloween for me. Forget pumpkin spice everything, give me a caramel apple
  • You can do whatever you put your heart into!
  • Medical conditions can change the In out ratio, so a reasonable calorie deficit doesn't always work completely the way it should. But 1800 calories is a bit much for someone trying to lose weight, so maybe knock it down to 1500-1600! I hope you get your medical issues solved so the weight can finally come off!
  • I'm interesting in the harry potter weight loss challenge and will help in any way needed of me!
  • Question, so in the "walking equals zero rule" some posters are agreeing with, this means that sitting on my but is the same as walking 3 miles? So say, you go through your normal day and take an hour walk. This walk means nothing, even though you did it on top of your normal day to day walking? Pedometers may not be the…
  • I'll be turning 20 next month! Feel free to add me :D
  • Next time eat the lettuce like a rabbit :D It'll make you feel better about getting a salad. And for people that think keeping bread in a refrigerator is weird, I did too. Until I moved to the south and leaving bread out for a few days would make it moldy, keeping it refrigerated makes it last longer.
  • Cortisol and prolactin are some hormones that may indicate a pituitary tumor, which some of the side effects are weight gain, might be something to check in to. I had a full hormonal blood panel and they found my prolactin levels were way beyond normal for my age, and I had an MRI done last week to see if it is a tumor.…
  • I usually plan for two late night snacks, one sweet and a salad or vegetable. I have to choose sweets that I know I can control myself with though, I'm the type of person that would eat a whole container of cookies if given the option. So at the store I always get one reward snack for after shopping, and then I don't…
  • I use Runkeeper, but sometimes it gets oddly glitchy and will say I ran 20 miles with an average of a minute a mile, no idea why it does it.
  • Welcome! My name is Cori I'm also a lover of puns and a 19 year old crocheter! I also enjoy anime and video games! Together everyone can reach their goals!
  • Hi! I'm also looking to lose 60 pounds! Everyone here with enough support can reach their goals!

  • Does the cinnamon float on top or does it incorporate into the rest of your coffee?
  • Thanks for the replies! I like cold brewed coffee with 8 oz of 1% milk with a drop of vanilla extract!
  • I have a soda stream that I absolutely love to make carbonated water with, it's really tasty if you pour it on some crushed mint leaves! I would say they are expensive, but in the two years of use it has become a main feature of my home. It also scares my neighbors which I think is hilarious.
  • I had plantar fascitis for a few years before talking about it with my doctor, if I walked a mile my foot would feel like it would be tearing in half and it was so excruciatingly painful I had to limp home. After I discussed it with my doctor and got a foot x-ray she prescribed me an anti-inflammatory. Within a month of…
  • I had a 40 dollar scale that was so bad it would weigh anywhere from 15lbs over or under depending on where you stood, and where your center of balance was. It was so frustrating I finally got rid of it and got a cheaper scale that's accuracy is much better.

  • Welcome to MFP! I also new around here but the community has been wonderful! I have a little question, When I bike ride my right foot goes numb after thirty minutes, I'm not sure what causes this and in any other exercise that I do it never happens. Is it dangerous to continue biking or is it just an odd nerve problem?
  • I have multiple things that I use to calculate my exercise burn one of which is a pyle heart rate monitor watch and a few running companion applications including runkeeper. Runkeeper I really like because it gives feedback every five to ten minutes on the average pace and the distance you've gone. It also measures the…
  • Thank you both for your suggestions! I'll really look in to a paleo diet and check with my local grocery stores to see if it will work for me. I will also start lifting weights, I have always focused more on cardio and Pilate classes. I also try to stay away from processed foods and make most things myself. Again, thank…
  • This week I tried chilled cucumber and greek yogurt soup with two slices of toasted baguette! It was pretty tasty for a hot day, but only if you're a fan of dill. The soup was around 200 calories, and the bread was around 150.
  • Thank you so much again! That's a very detailed calculator, and I will try to weed out the carbs in my diet, but I will log my food everyday! I can't express how much I appreciate your advice.
  • Potatoes and Corn are high in carbohydrates! A large potato has 64g of carbs, and one cup of corn has 123g. Both without adding any butter or other things. Try adding in vegetables in places that you wouldn't normally expect them, in your sandwich add some lettuce or fresh spinach, they don't have much flavor so they're…
  • Thank you for the advice! I will definitely make sure to check my scale to see if it's readings are still accurate, having had it for four years it might not be. I have been checked for my cortisol levels and they were on the high end of normal, but still in the normal range.
