YES PLEASE!!!! Desparate to lose 10lb in 10 weeks and need support. Sick of being up and down, losing 3lb, gaining 2, etc. Glad I'm not alone :explode:

Good luck, though I'm not sure a week before Christmas is the best time to start a diet! I'm bugging out until the New Year, I'll be back in 2014 and wish you well!

Many, many congratulations, looking good!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! enjoy your day to the full, even if it does mean having some extra cake. If you feel bad, do a bit of extra exercise or eat a little less tomorrow - but don't worry today! :drinker:

Celebrate your age, good health and weight loss, and don't worry about the wrinkles! Easier said than done, I know. Check out Carole Maggio http://www.facercise.com/ The exercises are easy to do and not very time consuming. Don't know what to suggest for the knees though! Very well done again on losing over 100lb that's…

Hi, I've been doing this for a good few weeks now and have lost 9lb. Once you get into a routine it's a really easy system to follow, and the golden words when you're finding it hard on a fast day "there's always tomorrow" Good luck!

This is a psychological issue, I'm a size 10 and there are days when I feel like an oaf. There is a comment further down about height, and I agree totally, the shorter you are, the more the weight shows (I'm 5ft nothing!) Size 10 is absolutely not fat. Ultimately you have to be comfortable in your own skin whatever your…

Going to Corfu in 7 weeks, so need all the encouragement I can get - count me in!

Oddly enough, you don't 'pig out' on the days you aren't fasting, in fact I seem to make better food choices. I find this way of eating sustainable though I know it doesn't work for everyone. Each to their own - good luck to you all fellow dieters, whatever choice you make! Hard to think about dieting at the moment in the…

Lucky you! Most of us struggle to keep it down! I sincerely doubt your body is in starvation mode. I'm afraid it's the old blah blah...eat healthily and exercise. I'm doing the 5:2 fasting diet and it's working well for me, but I recently went off piste so not in a good place at the moment. There are some pretty good tips…

Diet going really well, I've lost around 8lb so far! I usually have my 500 calories on a Monday (Tuesday this week due to Bank Holiday) then again on Thursday. I dont think there are any hard and fast rules as to when you do it, but I dont think I could do two consecutive days. Good Luck! Let me know if you need any other…

Hi Leslie, agree that a class is the way to go, but Barbara Currie has been around for years, and I use her dvd' if I can't get to my class. She's very good and easy to follow. Good luck:smile:

Hey fellow dieters! Fasting diet going well, though I am hungry today due to a non-fasting, non-dieting 3 wonderful days spent in Devon. Surprisingly I only gained 2lb, so will be interesting to see what happens by the end of this week. It's not the easiest diet I've ever done, but absolutely beats calorie counting, points…

Smile at the scales! I lost 1lb, making a total of 6. Fit comfortably into my jeans

Hi all, I'll be interested to see if I've lost anything this week (weigh in is on Thursday) as I went a little overboard over the weekend. The book does say to eat normally on non-fast days, but he doesn't defy normal! I will say though that by Monday, I was kind of looking forward to the confinement of 500 calories - when…

Good luck, and well done for giving it a go - it does seem quite daunting. When I get hungry I just tell myself there's always tomorrow, so hang in there and let us know how you get on after your first week!

I didn't plan yesterday (my fasting day) very well, and had a tasteless powdered cuppa soup just to keep within the calories for lunch. As a result, I felt very hungry and dizzy by dinner time. Would highly recommend choosing nutritious low-cal food on fast days. Hairy Bikers Diet book is excellent as it gives calories…

Hi, good luck. On a non fasting day I truly dont feel like bingeing. For example, over the weekend, I ate a lovely roast lamb dinner with potatoes and lots of veg. I had a very healthy grilled fish and roasted veg on Saturday, and as one of our other fellow dieters said, before doing this, my food choices would have been…

Hi all, I lost 3lb! Absolutely overjoyed! Will continue with this and hope to reach my target soon. So I lost weight on the high protein diet which is marvellous because you can eat lots and lose weight, but the trouble is, once you start to add carbs, the weight goes back on and then some. This way, I think the stomach…

Thanks for all your comments :-) I'm weighing in tomorrow so fingers crossed. I've stuck to it rigidly and finding it easier than I thought. It forces you to make good calorific choices, so fish and vegetables with some low cal mayo has been on the menu, and tasty home made vegetable soup. Surprisingly, I haven't tried to…

Great idea! I haven't got far to go but seem to have come to a complete stand-still and have gained over the last few weeks. :flowerforyou: SW: 135 CW: 126 GW: 121 Ultimate Goal Weight: 119 8/1 8/8 8/15 8/31

hi, this is a common problem i'm afraid, and very frustrating. i guess the thing to do is track what you're eating over the weekend and see where you're going wrong. good luck.

Hi I know how frustrating this can be! do you think maybe you are not eating enough? The body will go into starvation mode, so just be careful and dont be too hard on yourself. Good luck!
