My face looks like a road map!

Don't see many topics on this subject but since I lost weight my face and my skin is wrinkled and saggy. I'm 65 and my skin never did have much elasticity, so I don't expect it to get much better. Been using some skin care stuff to fill out the wrinkles and though it does help a little, it doesn't help that much. And you should see the skin around my knees wrinkle up and wobble when I walk. Sighhhhh. Just needed to vent, don't think there is much that can be done at my age. Well there is plastic surgery, right? But I am not going there either, LOL.

I know it's probably not much consolation when you want a smooth, wobble free body, but that's a road map that shows you the great distance you've travelled.
over 100lb! go you!0 -
I'm only 26 but I'm noticing a looseness in my skin around my neck, breasts, and stomach. I've read that it can take up to two years for the skin to regenerate itself to fit your new shape, so I would just continue using appropriate skin-firming products, stay hydrated, and be proud of your weight loss!0

You and I are in the same boat. The good news is I have read numerous posts that time is the cure for loose skin, hope so. As silly as this may sound a long time ago I read about facial exercises to tighten the face muscles. Who knows? Yeah I am 64 and the skin like everything else doesn't bounce back like when we were younger.0

Congratulations on your weight loss, you must feel so good and I'm sure you extended your life by losing weight. Funny how there is sometimes a down side to losing - whether it be having to spend money for new clothes, saggy skin, loved ones having a hard time accepting "the new you", etc. However, I'm sure you would take those wrinkles any day over having that 102 pounds back!0

Fantastic job on the weight loss. I am right there with you after losing 130 lbs I have saggy parts(stomach and chest) that will probably always be that way. The excess skin just isn't going to go away. Short of surgery I don't think there's much we can do.0

102 lbs WOW !!! Good for you !!! Just stick with what your doing, strength training in time it should improve some. But wow what an accomplishment ! :flowerforyou:0

I've heard that, over 50, "You either love your face or your butt"
You have a nice butt.0 -
Celebrate your age, good health and weight loss, and don't worry about the wrinkles!
Easier said than done, I know. Check out Carole Maggio http://www.facercise.com/
The exercises are easy to do and not very time consuming. Don't know what to suggest for the knees though!
Very well done again on losing over 100lb that's fantastic. :happy:0 -

Congratulations on your weight loss. Living longer and happier is a Blessing. Gravity catches us all. I use undergarments called SPANX can purchase on line or at Sears and JCP . JCP is my favourite because they usually hire women knowledgeable in this area. I also use http://faceliftingcreams.com/ products affordable and it works.
You inspire me to keep at it. I am such a slow weight loss person. After age 50 it just moves so slow.
Blessing

I can relate to the face sagging!! You can always tell if I lost weight because the first place it comes off is my face! It will be skinny long before the rest of me. You look great.0

I am beginning to think that this issue may have been a roadblock to my not wanting to lose weight in the past. Now I don't care about the wrinkles & loose skin, I care more about being healthy. I am hoping like others have said that in time the skin may begin to shrink back... I have a long way to go, so only time will tell.
Great job losing the weight - you are an inspiration!0
