You can get fat eating too much of anything. There is still sugar in fruits and veggies and any extra sugar your body isn't using, or more than your body requires to function, it will turn into fat. Same goes for any extra calorie. That's why it's important to just stick to your calorie goal, but still make sure you're…

My personal trainer said to eat a good protein before bed. It gives your body something to work on and since it takes your body several hours to break it down, it's not going to turn into fat like it would if you were to eat something carby and sugary. Try nuts or a protein bar (that's low in carbs). Almonds, walnuts,…

I started dating a guy who had two jobs... that meant the only time I saw him is when he took me to work in the morning and when he came home at night around midnight. I would eat when I got off work around 6, wait up for him to come home, and eat again. I gained 30 lbs in 3 months and as soon as I had my yearly exam and…

No messages or public profile on friend requests. GRR. That's like someone covering your eyes and saying "Wanna be friends?" Uhhhh....?

It's strength training under cardio. Just letting you know, the estimates aren't that great. I suggest getting a heart rate monitor.

I'm 5'3 3/4" if that makes a difference ... right now I'm 169 and the last time I measured I was about : Waist 30 1/2" Belly button 35 1/4" Hips 42 3/4" Thighs 27" Arms 14"

I wouldn't. Leave it as extra.

Definitely measure it. 1/5 of a box for the box I buy is about 2 oz or 1 cup cooked. You could eye it and then measure out 1 cup or you could put a bowl on a food scale, adjust the scale to 0, then add 2 oz of pasta and cook it.

Tells you my name, that I'm an Aries, and that I'm [almost] 23 years old, lol. I got my name from a soap opera actress in the 80s named Arielle. It means Lioness of God and my parents are very religious so they named me Arielle since they liked the name. :]

If you can not have a scale and still be successful, why not? If you don't want to buy one, you can gauge your weight loss by clothing. See how your clothes get looser and looser, and then you have to get smaller sizes. I think it really depends on your mindset, but I think you could do it if you really want to. How fun…

You could use either. Also, Google and YouTube can teach you a lot as far as exercises go.

You always measure the cooked when it comes to grains. For pasta, I measure 2 oz and then STILL measure 1 cup after it's cooked. For rice, I just throw however much I want into the cooker and measure out 1 cup for my serving.

My health So I can run faster/better/easier Getting pregnant (in the future) at a healthy weight Vanity Bikini To say I did That's pretty much it.

I picked it because it shows my whole body and I was just starting back into losing weight again and felt confident and thought I looked thin in it. I've since decided I'm going to do the exact same pose when I get to my goal weight to compare

Six. When I'm sore, I go lighter the next day on whatever I'm supposed to. I alternate strength/cardio and cardio only days. If I'm sore from running, I know I can do my normal strength routine the next day since it works different muscles. If I'm sore from strength, same thing for the next day. If I'm still sore from…

It's not exercise, you do not count it. All you do in a sauna is lose water that comes back as soon as you drink. It's good for ridding yourself of toxins and nothing else.

See, now booze I have no problem with! I have a 3/4 full giant bottle of vodka, 1/2 full bottle of rum, 2/3 full bottle of tequila, and a 1/4 full bottle of amaretto... and really, I'm never tempted by it. I've been craving wine lately or any kind of alcohol, but unless I can hit my protein goal AND have a drink, I'm not…

Wow. I'm body jealous.

You probably don't need to be losing that much every week, anyway. If you're just under 200, you're not too far from your goal weight. I would go for 1 lb per week. The minimum for a man per day is 1500 but I think it should be more like 2000. If you're working out, you should be eating those calories back as well... if…

I'm the same way. I've come to the conclusion that I either have to eat it all quickly or eat a little and throw the rest away. The three guys I live with don't eat sweets or things I like to splurge on enough to help me eat them. I bought a box of Oreos over the summer and ate the whole thing over a couple days and it was…

Yeah. I used one for a while when my parents had it before they sold it on Craigslist. Apparently, I was the only one using it and they couldn't afford to keep it. Lame. It worked great but nothing a resistance band or weights at the gym couldn't give you.

Wow, girl, you look fabulous!

Girl, mine's open! And SO honest, you wouldn't believe it. You can take a peek at the last couple weeks before adding me, if you want. But trust me, I'd rather have my diary say over 900 calories than lie to myself. I also like to add up my calories and deficit at the end of the week and see if I'm going to lose that week,…

I disagree that plants can sustain us. I don't feel like there's enough variety in plants that you can really get all the nutrients you need from eating them. There will always be something that you don't like eating, and I, myself, am not about to start eating things I don't like. I'm sorry. If I don't like it, I'm not…

If you're so against the Biggest Loser using Subway as a sponsor, when they should be promoting healthy living, and not tempting their viewers with food at such a late hour ... why are you using a chocolate treat that clearly isn't anything more than sugar, sugar, and MORE sugar, in your topic to raise awareness about your…

My middle name is Michelle. I like it because it's normal and easy to pronounce, unlike my first and last names. I don't like it because it awkwardly and too cutely rhymes with my first name.

You may too active for 1200 calories. Also, if you work out, you should be eating your exercise calories and eating at least a NET of 1200 calories. As in: you eat 1200 calories, burn 500 calories, you should eat 500 more so your NET is 1200.
