  • Yeah. I have to pretty much stick to one or two drinks, or it will hinder my weight loss. Your body chooses alcohol as a priority over fat when it comes to burning things off... so you typically will gain because of dehydration and then not lose that week because your body has been working on burning off the alcohol…
  • Chinese is high in sodium. When you eat an excess of sodium, you bloat/hold water. You didn't gain 2 lbs of fat. You gained 2 lbs of water. Drink a ton of water and try to stay below 2400mg of sodium (daily!) or less.
  • I drive a 1995 Honda Accord. It's green and a stick. :blushing: I know, bring on the pick up lines. lol It's my first car, so I'm in love with it. And don't think just 'cause it's a '95 that it's a clunker. It's not by any means. Except for the front door doesn't open from the outside anymore, lol. GETTING IT FIXED…
  • Let's see: 1. One pair of Bass brown ankle boots 2. one pair of Gray heeled boots that are about mid-shin (with a little bow on the ankle!) 3. one pair of flat black boots that are a little taller than my gray pair 4. one pair of short heeled black leather victorian-style boots 5. one pair of black ballet flats with a bow…
  • Yes. Work other parts of your body that aren't sore, or just do cardio. You should be allowing those muscles you worked hard, rest for at least 24 hours. When my legs are sore, I like to do the cross ramp (like an elliptical but no moving arms, and the legs are on a track instead of stand alone). Keep the resistance low so…
  • Actually, missyfluffyuk, Jillian Michaels even SAYS in the video that it can be done everyday because it's 30 minutes long instead of say, an hour, like her other video No More Trouble Zones - which is not meant to be done everyday. You can safely do this video everyday ... if you broke bones, you must have had SERIOUSLY…
  • Any veggie that's carby - think peas, corn, sweet potatoes, onions. Whole grains! Whole wheat bread, oatmeal (1 cup uncooked is about 320 calories) ... fruits (anything real sugary): bananas, grapes, kiwi, avocado (also good fats!). And no, oatmeal is not porridge. Porridge is different. Oatmeal is oatmeal. It's made from…
  • hummus on one side, chicken or turkey breast, some bell peppers, onions, spinach leaves, a little salad dressing, cheese (optional). yum. side of nuts or trail mix.
  • Jennie-O turkey sausage breakfast links. Sometimes I cut them in the middle and fold them out flat and then put it on a breakfast sandwich. Today I just smushed it up and ate it ground. So yummy. Tastes like pork sausage!
  • Kettle corn helps. It's a subtle sweetness and also can satisfy savory cravings.
  • New wardrobe, belly button ring, lots of new bikinis, super high heels, probably a new hair style ...
  • No. Going over your calories for ANY food will make you gain weight. You can eat a lot of fruit, but it still needs to be within your calorie limit for the day. Just follow MFP, eat healthy foods, work out hard, and stay above 1200 calories, drink lots of water. That's basically all you have to worry about.
  • 5-6 days a week. I alternate 30 minutes running intervals & 30 minutes various cardio (bicycle, arc trainer, crossramp) and strength training with 30-45 minutes cardio. Strength training consists of cardio in between sets of weight lifting, including: jumping rope, high knees, running up and down 1/2 flight of stairs,…
  • You can do it!!! Just keep reminding yourself that there are more changes and benefits than just the scale. Watch how your pants fit. Since you just started, start measuring, main places: chest, hips, waist (your smallest point - above your belly button), stomach (at your belly button), hips (widest part of your butt), and…
  • He's in the middle. He's more supportive now than when I first started. When I first started running in the mornings in the summer of '10, he would get annoyed and hug me tight to keep me from getting out of bed. Now, when I get out of bed to work out, he just rolls over and says "okay". lol He still buys his junk food…
  • Definitely everything, but one specific: pizza.
  • Northeast! I'm from McKinney.
  • 2 eggs, 1/2 whole wheat english muffin, 2 links of turkey breakfast sausage 1 cup oatmeal, 1/2 up thawed frozen berry medley, dash of cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp honey, and 1 scrambled egg 1 cup kashi cereal with 1/2 cup milk, 2 scrambled eggs 1 whole wheat english muffin, 2 overeasy eggs, 1/4 cup your choice cheese, 1…
  • I'm almost 5'4" and my goal weight is 140.
  • ME! Well, I wouldn't say overweight but he's gained about 40 lbs since we got together. He refuses to eat healthy (except what I make him - and even then, doesn't eat any veggies), doesn't work out, works a TON, and eats like crap. Yayyy me. But it works out okay because he mostly eats out so there's not a lot of…
  • Let's see.... before: mac n cheese doritos soda mac and cheese hot pockets pizza rolls the like after: multigrain pasta wheat crackers juice and whole milk lean proteins fresh veggies
  • Yesterday, I texted my boyfriend to complain about a certain creepy co-worker of mine who made it obvious he was looking me and up and down (and not in a complimentary way). My boyfriend was quick to reply, "WTF! I'll kick his *kitten*!" That made me feel so good.
  • I LOVE it. It's made me so much stronger and so much quicker than lots of reps and low weight.
  • I think it looks great. You might do better spacing things out instead of just two big meals... you might stay full longer. I think everyone should aim for about 100g of protein per day, so honestly, you could change your macros so your protein is a bit higher. I'm set at 40/30/30 but a good start for you could be 45/30/25…
  • Starting weight: 180 Current weight: 170 Goal weight: 140
  • cranberry vodka. darker liquors are lower in calories but will get you drunk faster. you could do a jack and coke (or diet if you prefer) for under 100 calories - same for cranberry vodka.
  • Ugh! *kitten* whooping indeed. Wish you would have given him one. I would have enjoyed this story more - lol - for you.
  • AMEN. lol And I LOVE Drop Dead Diva, lol.
  • wheat crackers & hummus. carrots and peanut butter celery and peanut butter red bell peppers and reduced fat ranch dressing apple and peanut butter oranges apple and string cheese wheat crackers & string cheese the possibilities are endless.
  • I work out 5-6 days a week. I try to work out pretty hard - enough to where I'm sore the next day. This is why I rest. I work my muscles pretty hard. If you've worked out 2 weeks straight and are wondering if you need a rest day, my opinion is you're not working out hard enough to really need a rest day.
