I just saw this thread and I think it is a wonderful idea! I'm in! My name is Kharyn (NOT pronounced Karen  ). I am married with two young girls, 5 and almost 3. They are amazing and I love them very much, even when they are naughty. I work full-time and have one more semester of graduate school left which I…

Sugar in the raw is my choice, its all natural, no processing or anything and it's only 15 cal for 1 tsp which seems to be sweet enough for me but can be adjusted according to your taste. But there are no chemicals and no processing so you know is 100% natural and it taste great!

Sounds fun and exciting, count me in! :)

I rarely eat fast food although I love McDonalds fries. About three years ago I cut down my fast food intake to maybe once a month (bc I have two little ones and I wanted them to see Fast Food as more of a special occassion kind of thing instead of a regular meal), now if I get any fast food, my stomach kills and it just…

I'm 5'2 and I weigh 143 and I am a size 4, I would like to be at 125/130 and remain as a size 4, but wouldn't mind being a size 2 again. I think ppl need to know that we all have different body types so its hard to really understand where ppl may be coming from if their ideal measurements don't meet what we may consider…

This place is about support and motivation and what works for someone may not work for you or what choices someone makes to help them make changes may not be the choices you make and thats ok. The point is that we are doing what works for us and making changes that are having an impact on our lives. The important part is…

I have been on MFP for a year now and although I have been gone for a while, I'm back and have been receiving so much support and motivation so you have come to the right place! Welcome and feel free to add me as a friend!

You've come to the right place....welcome!
-
Amazing! Keep up the hard work....as you can see (and feel) it pays off! :)
-
Well you came to the right place!! We are all here to motivate and encourage as well as to be motivated and encouraged! :) Glad you joined the MFP community!!!

Kimme and Chelekaz, I sent both of you ladies a message! Thanks for replying! :)
-
Chelekaz, I wouldn't recommend you give up your gym membership, esecially if it is working for you! But, I bet you are paying more for a membership at a gym over a year then it would cost to buy Insanity or P90X....just a little info to tell your hubby that may change his mind! :) With P90X, I have def increased my…

Hi LoisSilva, How about counting to 20 before you grab something to eat then ask yourself am I hungry or just emotional. Or try saying a phase like, "I will not eat because I'm happy/sad" or, "I'll only eat when I'm hungry". I'm not an emotional eater but I use to eat mindlessly. As I made myself become aware of when my…

Congrats!!! Keep up the hard work!

Amen! My trust is ALWAYS in the Lord even when times are difficult and I don't always agreed with His will, but I know there is no one better to guide me through life....He is my savior, Jesus Christ!

Are you following the P90X meal plan? I think that will help you tremendously! It breaks down what are body needs at each stage of the workout. Maybe if you follow the meal plan, it will help you not indulge in bad foods. Like I stated before, I have done Jillian's 30 Day Shred and now doing P90X. I lost more lbs with…

I like Splenda, but I just try to avoid sugar all together. It's sounds like its a little of both, will power and what you eat with some encouragement thrown in the mix!

Maybe you are just more of a night person. Try doing your workout in the evening before dinner or an hour after dinner. I so can't get up any earlier to do my workout, so I do mine in the evening and I feel like I'm giving 100% each time.

I def agree with that, needamulligan. Additives def play a roll, like high fructose corn syrup and refine sugars! There was study done (sorry can't remember when) that fake sugars and refined sugars encourage eating unhealthy, empty calories.

I agree 100% with joscelle! The advice is spot on. You can do this, you are stronger then your want to binge. Remember, you are in control, you make the desicions when it comes to you. If you have a slip up, you have one, we all do. Don't let the pressure of the slip up overcome you. Focus on how well you are doing for…

I never tried Zumba but most of my friends do it and LOVE. I have done Spinning and I loved it! I went from 128 lbs to 118 (pre baby) in 2 months and I was toned all over not just my legs but arms, tummy, and back. I'm sure both will help you get what you need out of a workout. Good luck!

I have done Jillian's 30 Day Sherd (lost 5 lbs) and I am now doing P90X. I'm on Phase 2 of the Classic. I have not lost a lot of weight at all (3lbs in Phase 1), but I have dropped two pant sizes. I suggest sticking with P90X and doing a second round after you complete round one. I know that AB Ripper is a mother, but if…

According to Dr Oz and the guy who wrote about Primal Eating and he wrote the nutrition plan for P90X (forgot his name) talked about the GOOD saturated fat, like from milk, nuts, avocados, ect, not BAD saturated fat from like oh fast food.
-
In general, I'm not a HUGE milk drinker, but I know its very good for your body, so I drink Skim. My kids are young so they drink Whole. Sometimes I mix my milk with Skim and Whole because the Saturated Fat in milk is good for you. It's the same kind if fat found in avocados and coconut milk!

You should try Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred! It's a great DVD and its only 20 minutes but don't let the 20 minutes fool you, it's intense! :noway:

I guess if you are eating your daily cals and you are not weak or light-headed, you should be fine. I heard it is best to eat a large lunch, but you should also eat 3 meals with 2 or 3 snacks. So maybe you can eat a small portion at dinner time. Dr. Ian from Celebrity Fit Club; said you can eat late, as long as you stay up…

Since you are only taking in a large amount of protein in a short period of time (during the 90 days of P90X), you will be fine. Its when you take large amounts of protein over a long period of time that can do damage to your kidneys. I recommend following the P90X guidelines while you are doing the program. But thats only…

Very interesting...thank you for sharing!

I can so relate to everything you have said! It is hard after having a baby, but since your baby is only 3 month, make sure you take it slow, espeically since you're still breastfeeding - you need more food intake. Just remember, it took you 9 mos to but it on, it may take that long to get it off! A friend told me that -…
