Answer this... what is your motivation to loose weight? Be honest with yourself. Is the motivation to loose the weight stronger then the will power you have on the weekend? It's not easy, loosing weight never is. It doesn't start with a simple pill, drink, low calorie meal in a box. It starts from within.... that desire to…

Way to go!! How awesome is it to see our kids try and follow in our footsetps in a positive manner with excercise and eating right? My two (13 year old son and 10 year old daughter) have recently joined me. My daughter will ride her bike on my evening jog and my son will jog along side me. They are even begining to…

Well, today makes a month!! Thanks for your kind words!! :O) It is possible and yes, success taste so much sweeter. I take it one day at a time... and yes, I miss it too. But, I know my goal. The thing is I had my dress purposely made a size smaller to keep me motivated. I have no margin of error in my weight loss. Simply…

thanks for sharing, that looks really good!! I'm sitting in the same boat right now. i was invited out to lunch by some friends here at the office but i knew that i was doing too good this week to loose it on a lunch that would equal my daily caloric limit. It's tough to say no, especially on Fridays... but I know it will…

Oddly enough I'm having the same problem. Till I picked up the phone and called a local running store that offered gait analysis. I went in this afternoon after work and found out that my posterior shin splints were the result of an over pronation in my gait. My foot was rolling inward and could be corrected by a better…

I eat the plain greek yogurt every other day with half a cup of brozen blueberries added to it. I like that it is high in protien but since i incorporated it into my diet I've noticed I've been going slightly over my daily protien "allowance"

Welcome and best of luck on your journey :o)

I like using frozen blueberries, greek yogurt, a little honey to sweeten it (the greek yogurt can be sour if not used to it) a tablespoon of flax seed and a little skim milk. I substitue various frozen fruits depending on the mood.

Lightjules has a point. Yesterday I sat down and planned out my meals for today in my food diary to get an idea of caloric intake. Worked out pretty well I would say, it gave me a good idea of where I needed to cut back to reach my goal. Just a thought... after all, once you add the items you can always delete them. And…

I love running. There is something about being out there and the freedom that comes with it. Shin splints are normal in the initial phase of begining a running program. Make sure you stretch before and after your run. And of course drink plenty of water. C25K is great. I'm starting it myself, in fact here in just a minute…

Welcome!! I love that thought, it definately puts weight loss into an acheivable goal instead of looking at it as a whole. Best of luck on your journey... one step at a time. The support here is great! We all have the same goal in the long run. To better our life for those we love and love us back. You can do it!! Just…

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kind and encouraging words. Honestly, the hardest part has been driving past Starbucks every morning since the 1st instead of driving through it. When I got online and tallied up my favorite drink at a whopping 415 calories, and the quilty fact that I indulge in one sometimes two a…
