  • I know with BodyPump the instructor just started a new routine and said we'd be doing it for the next 2-3 weeks, so I imagine she switches things up fairly often. I do find I push myself harder in a class and I'm varying my routine each week, taking spin from different instructors who's routines, music and personalities…
  • Thanks so much guys! Looking forward to seeing results myself hopefully soon :-) Good luck with your workouts.
  • I'm 5'10, currently 137.2lbs. I'm toning mostly now but still have a little fat to take off around my midsection to really see some ab definition. Mostly focused on building strength and toning up though and pretty soon looking to see the scale go up as I build more muscle. This is the hardest stage for me, so I'm working…
  • My trainer has asked me to drink 120 ounces of water a day....and let me tell you...it's challenging. Here are some tips I've found that help me get some in, hopefully they may help you or give you some ideas at least. I have about a 45 min-1 hour commute to and from work. I usually try to fill a 23.7/24 ounce bottle of…
  • Hi guys, Thanks a lot for the tips!! I'll be sure to test some of them out and hope they work. Julie
  • I actually get a lot of sleep, per my trainers instructions but also because I don't function very well when I'm tired. Sleep is definitely not the problem for me! But thanks for the suggestion.
  • Not sure if this was mentioned as I didn't have time to read through all the other posts but I was having a similar issue, went to the doctor and had all kinds of tests done....NADA. I started working with a personal trainer and he has me taking Krill Oil (capsules) twice a day. Once after breakfast and once after dinner.…
  • I was working with a personal trainer about once a week for the last couple of months, but now that I am getting closer to my goal and need to focus on toning and strengthening I realized I needed more help. I'm now working out with a trainer who has a great background in bodybuilding and he's fantastic. I've only been…
  • Hey there! Each of the workouts are only about 25 minutes long. You start off with a warm up, then she splits the work out up into 3 different sets of the following: 3 minutes of strength 2 minutes of cardio 1 minute of abs You go through thsi 3 times (each round has different exercises) and then a cool down.
  • Ohh, I hope it wasn't too serious! Glad your feeling better and ready to get started again. Keep us updated!
  • Thanks! I'm excited to really get into working with him next week! Sounds like you've got an awesome plan set up there. I'm excited to hear how it works out for you and how you feel when your getting ready to start insanity!!
  • Went to the gym on my lunch break. I starting off jogging for a warm up and then went on the elliptical for 15 minutes. Jogged 2 laps, just to break it up (11 is 1 mile in my gym) and then went on the stairmaster for 10 minutes. Then headed to the pool for a 10 minute swim and ended with some relaxation in the steam room…
  • I'm 5/10 and fluctuate ate the moment between 140 and 142.8. I am not focusing so much on the scale now as I am body fat % and what I see in the mirror. I'm increasing my strength training to tone up and build muscle. I would also like to lower my current body fat percentage which is 19.9% to approximately 16 and then go…
  • Nice!! Yeah I see a lot of celebrities out there that I think look good, but I try to picture myself that way and it just doesn't always fit. I try to go with people who are similar to my body shape as well. Julie Roberts is definitely that. I love Cameron Diaz, but I have a little more of a shape than she does and don't…
  • Gotta agree with you there!! They do look beautiful and healthy.
  • I find that having someone else to hold me accountable really helps with my will power (or sometimes lack there of), but there are many more reasons than that and I weighed them all into consideration because the financial aspect of having a personal trainer was something I wanted to think about carefully. Honestly I…
  • Good choice!!! Lol, I'd have to definitely say she's on my list as well.
  • So I've decided to go a slightly different route with my workouts. I've hired a personal trainer and I'm going to be working out with him 2-3 times a week during my lunch break (extending my lunch to an hour and a half by coming into work earlier). I'm also going to be continuing to do my workout classes in the evening and…
  • I can relate. I've been pretty bad with Ripped the last couple of days and with my diet. Feeling a little bit guilty but I'll try and get Ripped in this afternoon after I get back from Aeroboxing at 1pm (if the class is still on!!). Hoping the workout will help me relieve some of this nervous tension building up from the…
  • My town hasn't been evacuated yet, (and I'm really regretting not leaving town now). Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
  • I'm in West New York, Nj. Right across the hudson river form the upper west side of NYC. I'll definitely be in touch with family! I'll be banging on the neighbours doors too if it gets bad. Stay safe all you east coasters this weekend. Hoping this is all hyped up and not gonna be as bad as it seems. Hope everyone's…
  • I don't know how flexible your schedule is, but I'm actually going to be asking my boss today if I can start coming into work a half hour early and extend my lunch break to an hour and a half so that I can go work out on it at a gym around the corner. That added extra half hour gives me enough time to get a good workout…
  • I am so not prepared for this hurricane! I have never experienced one today and just realised when they were talking on the news this morning that I should probably pick up some suppiles...so I'm gonna try to stop by the store after work and pray they have necessities left!!! I'm on my own this weekend, just me and my dog…
  • So....feeling a little dejected. I hurt my wrist a little bit during aeroboxing yesterday evening. It hasn't bothered me doing everyday things today, just whenever I might turn my wrist a certain way and I had an icepack on it for a while. I decided to give Ripped in 30 a shot and start week 3 tonight, but even the 1st…
  • Thanks for the feedback! Once I'm done with this DVD I'm going to focus on more weight training as opposed to workouts that combine cardio and weights. I get a lot of cardio in from other classes I take. Did you do 5 or 6 days for each week?
  • Question for everyone who has been doing this DVD for a while. After the 1st 2 weeks did you notice any results? I'm probably being impatient, but I've been in a rut for a while and I'm getting fed up. I haven't noticed a changed in weight or inches. Hoping by the end of it I will. I think the closer you get to your goal…
  • LOL I definitely do!!!! Even my family in Pittsburgh felt it! I live in West New York, NJ, it's right across the hudson from the upper west side of new york, but in NJ lol..confusing, I know. I work further south in Springfield, NJ though.
  • Lol live right outside the city and work about an hour away in NJ and I'm so mad I felt nothing! I got back to the office from my lunch break and everyone was so excited about this little rumble...which I apparently missed lol. Oh well...at least it was minor!
