Awesome! I've been on hctz/triamterene combo for almost a month and I'm still experiencing side effects. Hoping weight loss will be exactly what I need to get off these meds...I hate the way I feel on them nothing extreme just nagging little side effects.

In feel like such a failure my grandmother is 91 and in a lower dose than me...all because I won't get up an lose this weight...so sad but I plan to lose it now and become a success story

My doctor wanted me to wait to be on meds because he believed I could manage it with diet and exercise...the main reason I'm on it is because my anxiety would cause it spike and I have no control over it.

Thanks everyone! I actually adjusted my calorie intake to 1390 (MFP recommendation) so hopefully that will help as well.

I eat well in the morning and make sure I eat every 3 hours but around 3pm I get so hungry it's weird and I usually want sweets and carbs...

I guess sometimes it is that easy...so easy to over analyze. What do you have your settings on for goal? I have mine at sedentary so I can eat back exercise calories and set to lose one pound a week.

What program did Wow that's awesome! Congratulations:) What program did you use other than MFP? I tried WW so many times that I feel it's ultimately up to me to make the program work...I just got tired of spending money and failing...

I was considering and kind of following the Dash diet because I have 3 kids and a hubby I just thought low carb would just be too much to navigate but a clean diet with low sodium is easier to maintain at least. Buying a lot of Mrs. Dash seasonings.

Thank you! As I mentioned I am newly diagnosed so I've been watching what I eat and monitoring my sodium although I have made some slip ups during the last two weeks I'm way better than before. However knowing I have high blood pressure has triggered panic attacks and anxiety because my grandmother dies at 39 years old…
