I had my thyroid removed a few years ago when I found out I had thyroid cancer. I've lost 45lbs since January so it is possible to lose weight with thyroid issues. If you wear a HRM you can create your own exercise in your exercise log and just name it Zumba and add the time and cals burned.

Im on Ortho Tri Cylen LO and I havent had any problems losing weight. Maybe you should ask your Dr about switching to a low hormorne pill

So true Bob. When I started P90X I couldn't do one push up. But each week I got stronger and stronger . Its still hard but I do 20 with no problem now! Just keep do a little at a time it will get easier. :)

I use a polar also. I tend to burn 460-550 a class with my regular instructor. But with another instructor I burn more. Not all instructors do the same intensity. It's best to get a HRM with a chest strap. :)

My husband used the pull up bar and I used the bands. I just put my bands through the pull up bar. Worked perfect.

I eat a snack every night while in bed then roll over and go to sleep. I've consistently lost weight. I personally don't think it matters as long as you stay with your allowed calories.
