He is just beautiful!! We also have a pit-box mix and is just the same....Very protective and such a gently baby. Add in two boxers and that completes our brood of three

Day 4 of Level 1 and getting much easier. Still sore, but not hobbling around as bad. I find the pushups are the hardest for me so I am glad they are at the beginning!
-
OMG, way sore this morning after day 1, I was super surprised. I am pretty sure walking 2 miles last night did not help my legs, which happen to be the most sore:)
-
Today was my first day and I felt good about be able to do this daily. My plan is to head to the park today after work to do some walking/light jogging. I feel great now, but I wonder what the morning will bring....I am SO out of shape:) Looking foward to hearing about everyone else progress!

HI gh of 71 today, PERFECT for a late afternoon run! Super excited:)

You are going to be just fine!! You can do the mileage obviously, just be careful about keeping your own pace. Don't try to keep up with the faster runners, stay focused and enjoy it. You will be hooked after this:)
-
Could not say it better! Cheers:)

I totally agree with evileen from the earlier post. Same experience and result. I had a fibroyd the size of a softball blocking the opening of my uterus. My periods were so heavy I was anemic. I jumped at the chance to have the hysterectomy and it has changed my life. I had it laparoscopically so minimallly invasive. Was…

I could not even run for 1 minute when I first started and then gradually I learned I could run longer if I slowed down. What a HUGE piece of advice. Not even 6 weeks later, I ran my first 5k with no walking and was hooked! I agree with other posters that when I am running it is my ME time and I am uninterested in running…

Fresh baked bread, french fries, and all things BBQ.. Love pulled pork, ribs, ect...

Congratulations!! I remember running for 20 minutes and being so proud of myself! You'll be blown away at your accomplishments from here on out. Do a 5k and you will not be able to get the smile off of your face for days:)

<Pit boxer mix is my baby to the left. We also have 2 other boxers!
-
Totally making this tomorrow! Thanks

Artichokes, Olives, Mandarin oranges are staples for me!
-
Thanks for the suggestions! I will be doing lots of stretching and hope it remedies the problem:)
-
I would be SO excited if this is about stretching. Here's why: I used to stretch out for 3-5 minutes before I ran and had no problems. Then I have read some people think stretching prior to running is a bad thing. So that has stuck in my mind along with the fact it has not been warm, so I have been anxious to get moving…

WOW!! Congratulations on starting to run and setting quite an ambitious goal! It will certainly keep you focused. I have yet to run longer than a 10k but will definitely sign up for a half-marathon this year. I'm a big fan of Hal Higdon's programs and alot of people like Jeff Galloway. It will certainly give you an idea of…

I totally agree with setting small goals will help you gain confidence and inspire you to create more. Two weeks ago I started running again after a 3 month hiatus. I had gained 20 pounds and lost all energy. I was not eating right and certainly not logging food. Yesterday I ran 4 miles and have lost 6 pounds to date. It's…

After trying to increase my mileage this week, I totally agree that 'shredding' is out of the question! Just too much, too soon, on an out of shape body...Especially the knees:) Thanks for the advice!
-
Red!! Agree with the earlier poster about Argentina Malbec...Awesome! Love a good PInot or Merlot as well!
-
Never thought about adding weights now...great idea and alternative!

Running Hot Chocolate Atlanta 5k this Sunday at Turner Field Run the Reagan 10k on 2/16 Shamrock and Roll 10k on 3/10 After that who knows. Will definitely run the Peachtree Road Race 10k on July 4th. Hope to have a 13.1 under my belt by then, but SO SO out of shape!! Great motivating thread...can't wait to read more!

Dont really care for chocolate and hate the taste of coffee! On the other hand I absolutely love club soda!
-
This is my first PRR and I am so excited! We went last Sunday and ran the course early to see what it was like. That cardiac hill is going to be the challenge for sure. I am in J and will be starting at 8:09 so hopefully this heat won't be too much of a factor. We are so undecided about how to go and what time to go.…

The days I run, I have virtually no appetite. The next day though, I am absolutely ravenous!!
