Wow, unbelievable difference a year makes! You don't even look like the same person and you look SO healthy! Congratulations and I am inspired with the running!

Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can!

I am that overweight person running and everything you have read on here is SO true!!! I cannot tell you how it 'spurs' me on to have people ask me 'Are you walking at all? Is this your 2nd lap? Go girl Go!' So much so, I ran 2 extra miles on Thursday just so I could tell the guys who thought I was on my second lap that it…

I have a bad habit of overeating when I am super hungry. I eat and eat, knowing that if I would just wait 10 minutes, my body will be full.....and of course end up feeling stuffed which I absolutely hate!

A bit of advice, register as soon as you can. The Color Run here in Atlanta is not until the end of this month and registration was full when I tried to join mid February!

Georgia, almost 2 in the afternoon, Will go for a run at 5 in about 55' temp! Cheers to you!

I love that I just quit making all of the excuses and just did it! ( I can find any research to support my lazy habits be it exercise or eating to justify my all of my excuses.) I started running last year just to get my heart rate up in small sprints. I have to agree with the 'high' afterward is totally addictive. That…

I prefer outdoor running to a treadmill any day of the week, 20 degrees or 100 degrees! The treadmill is so boring and I swear time goes by twice as slow. For me, I need the distraction of scenery, other people, and measureable distance progress. I have had to run on the treadmill twice in the last week and my knees are…

I have been on here for almost a year, but have just 5 friends. To be honest, most of them are 'pet people' like me! I erase all 'activity feeds' from my home page, which I did not know even existed until a couple of months ago. I am not a facebooker either, so I get I am a rare breed on here. I totally am all about…

Good Morning and Welcome! I am 43 and in the best shape for the last 10 years! Good Luck!

You look absolutely amazing and I know you feel even better than that! I have to tell you I lost my white boxer Sasha on Thanksgiving day this year. She was 10 and the love of my life. Your posts about your loss gave me some comfort, so thank you for sharing. Congratulations on so many different accomplishments:)

You've had a terrible week. I have had a terrible month. I have eaten horribly and not exercised even one day. For someone who was running 20 miles a week, I am totally dissappointed in myself. Tomorrow is a new day and a new week.....Get back to what you know works and get some motivation. If you can get through one good…

We have a pitmix (photo) that was tied to a tree for 2 years before I rescued him. He is the sweetest most gentle dog we have ever owned. Our other 2 are boxers ages 6 and 10 and both are total clowns and live to play with 'cuz' balls! All of them are family members which include lots of homecooked meals and sleeping in…

THIS is totally my downfall as well! I do fine throughout the day and then the evenings have become 'hideous' for me. For me I have got to get back on track with planning meals a day ahead of time. If not I am inclined to eat whatever is easy which is rarely the right choice for me. Failing to Plan= Planning to Fail Good…

I too, ate what I wanted and completely enjoyed myself. I also look at it as a 'treat/break' to enjoy some amazing family cooking. Grilled chicken and vegetables and salads were non-existent for a few days and homemade sausage (yes homemade) and biscuits and gravy were fantastic. I refuse to be guilty and instead look at…

What great advice and I am excited to know I am a supinator now! What I hope to do is go to see what I can find on 'clearance' and then study the brand and style online. I know its a stab in the dark, but I have done pretty well with my Saucony's I bought on sale for $40! Thanks so much for all of your advice and…

100% agree....whether it is another lap (3 miles) or 20 more minutes of Jillian yelling at me!!

I got in 10 this morning to try to negate some of my food! Forgot to stretch afterward, so I am feeling it in my hamstrings for sure. Yay to all of you for being so diligent!!

10 this morning, 53 total

I have 3 boxers and yours is just beautiful! I agree with an earlier post about getting up in the middle of the night for a quick potty run to see if that alleviates the accidents. Also going out right before bed could not hurt. Good Luck!

Got up and ran 7 in some heavy fog this morning! Total so far =43

Huge fan of oven roasted asparagus. Trim stems, single layer on baking sheet, drizzle with EVOO and sprinkle some salt and pepper! I like them crunchy so I probably only leave in for 10 minutes, but it depends also on how big the spears are.

To second what someone else said, you will see all shapes and sizes running. I started running at 210 pounds and could not continue for more than 30 seconds. I am now up to 90 minutes and will run a half marathon in January and a full one sometime next year. You can totally do this. It gets easier EVERY time out!!

Got in 4 this morning before I head to work! 36 so far!

You look fantastic! What an accomplishment....Congratulations!

I had consistently lost 5 pounds a month for 8 months and then BOOM the plateau hits! The thing that made me the maddest was that I had increased my running mileage to 20-25 miles a week and still was not losing anything. The best thing for me is that even though I have not lost a pound in the last 2 months, I have dropped…

Oh Yeah!! It's the ugly cry here sobbing at that absolutely amazing story and spirit. How truly inspring this should be to us all. What a great post and motivator!
