Got in 8 yesterday and 4.5 before the downpour of rain this afternoon!

Yay for you for rescuing! We have 3 boxers and what I thought was a pit/boxer mix, but everyone tells me he is pure pit bull. He is our latest rescue (tied to a tree for 2 years) and I fell in love with him, so he is a permanent member of our family. He is a wonderful, loyal and smart smart dog. I am voting for the…

True words spoken of someone who is about to become a 'runner!' I know those words and certainly that feeling....be careful, its quite addictive:)

I agree with the EVOO and salt but I stirfry and steam it in a frying pan and its amazing!
-
I am up to 90 minutes/9 miles and hope to increase that to be able to do a half marathon soon! I couldn't run more than 30 seconds in March without having to stop.....It gets SO much easier with repetition and slowing down!

Just splurged since I ran 4 days this week! Had some fabulous Indian Curry with Spinach Paneer and a smidge of rice. Not bad for 480 calories and I am stuffed!

The headache, especially at the end of the work day is a sure sign for me. I immediately eat, but its usually too late by then I am generally stuck with the headache the rest of the evening!

Got in 7 yesterday! I don't normally run back to back days, but did it TWICE this week and my shins are revolting! Two days off for me!
-
I almost always take a day off in between due to tendonitis and hamstring issues, but today for instance the weather was amazing and I had to go! Monday 7 miles Wednesday 8 miles Thursday 7 miles Saturday 5-6 miles depending on how late I am for work!

Any kind of chips whatsoever and fries!!

Totally with you on the peanut butter sandwich!
-
I have 1170 left over too, but am looking foward to adding in an avocado to dinner. Yum Yum! Something else I have noticed is when I have this much left over, I will eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich right before bedtime.

I totally agree with the eggs and potatoes. I am a big fan of making soup with any kind of vegetables and left over meat. Local farmers markets have way better prices than grocery stores. Good Luck,

Love this post (most of it anyway) and its certainly becoming evident how many of us on here don't want to deal with all of the bullying and negativity. This site has been been a significant difference in my weight loss and I enjoy seeing all of the positive advice and success stories! Standing up with you!! Cheers!

I'm in too! I did not make it in September, but am determined this month. Have run 3 days this week so far and am hoping for a Saturday run too!

I totally just took a closer look at my toe, and its black underneath the bottom of the nailbed. (I have on bright pink nail polish, but would imagine its totally black under) I hate to sound naive, but what do you do with the athletic tape? Tape toes together? On top? Thanks for all of the advice!

I ran 71, but was shooting for 100. October is a new month!!
-
I totally agree with the addiction to the feeling after the workout! I love the way I feel after running and I am soaking wet. Yes, I am exhuasted but have such a 'high' and relish it. I also have to agree about the pain as well....I ran 9 miles on Wednesday on a new trail, with way more hills than I am used to. I have not…

Love love some red wine. The drier the better for me! Just found an excellent bottle of wine for under $4. Aconga malbec cabernet is excellent and tastes WAY more expensive. Named on the top 10 wines under $10!
-
Totally in agreement with the wine!
-
I got in a challenging 8 yesterday to make a more respectable finish. Will get in more on the last day! Totally ready for the October challenge too:)
-
Talk about inspiration! Excellent story to share and I will follow in your footsteps! Thanks for sharing

I totally agree about the lack of carbs. It gets me everytime! I can eat a ton of salad and chicken and vegetables. Yet 30 minutes later I feel like I have not even eaten! I have learned to eat a few carbs and it makes a ton of difference.

I am so behind! I was unable to run for 6 days due to fever and tendonitis in my foot...SUCKS!! I got in 7 last Monday and 7 today and it was hard hard hard! Will see what the rest of the week brings... Congratulations to those of you close and exceeded!

There are bad apples in every bunch unfortunately. I agree with the others, most of us are here to be supportive and get motivation. I am on here everyday and seek out positive threads and have learned SO much from SO many. I stay away from the grumps and misers. I am not here for a social life, but a sincere and genuine…

1) In 5th grade I weighed 137 pounds....that would be the closest 2)I have a husband, 3 kids and 4 dogs who I take care of every day. 3)I have lost 40 pounds in 6 months. I have to find time to exercise. I run between 60-90 minutes about 3 times a week. 4)My calories are set at 1200, but I can rarely stay in that range.…

I am so inspired by your story! Congratulations and I hope you are proud of yourself!

I second the caffeine notion. Also when I get really hungry, I get a terrible headache and sick to my stomach. Eating 4-5 meals a day 'on time' seems to really help!

Whew, what a change in temperature! I had to wear a long sleeve shirt this morning as it was in the mid 50's!! Got in 6 and about to even it out at the halfway mark! Off to work...Have a great run this weekend guys!
