  • No, really. I don't want my dogs to be dead, which they would be if they walked for more than 20 minutes in an English winter without a coat. They have been bred for speed, so have muscle not fat, and very little in the way of a coat, as that would slow them down. What is not real about a dog that can run at 35mph and…
  • Oh yeah, and check your macros! I'm doing a lot better energy and weight loss wise since I realised my protein was very low (mfp sets it too low anyway). I started having a protein shake after workouts and feel loads better. I don't even need as much sleep and my nails are growing like mad haha.
  • You'll get all different kinds of advice, just pick what you feel works for you. I'm back on here after a few months off and have lost 5lbs in about a month and to be honest I was a bit half assed so could have done better! I'm doing 30DS (but not every day) but I do eat all my exercise cals back otherwise I'd be starving…
  • I can't either!
  • Hahaha. I reckon they would actually crap themselves indoors if I didn't put a coat on them to go out.
  • I have to disagree! I don't 'dress my dogs up' in outfits, but they do need coats in Winter. Whippets only have 16% fat compared to most breeds 24% and they also don't have a secondary undercoat like most breeds - so they definitely have to have coats in the snow! Same for greyhounds :)
  • Is just posting pictures 'showing off'' now? People can't just be saying, hey, this is a part of my life? So you have a pic in front of your house or by your car and you are 'showing off'? You have a pic of you at a wedding and you are showing off? Oh My Gawd I have been showing off all my life and never knew :noway:…
  • Google what 1lb of fat looks like. Then you won't be disappointed...
  • I've just bought NROL4W and will also be doing it without a gym. I'm in the middle of 30DS and going to do NROL4W when I've finished shredding. I've got at least 35lbs to lose so if you want to add me as a friend and we can compare notes that would be great. So far all I have is 20kg dumbells and a mat haha. Haven't even…
  • *Posting at same time, sorry*
  • Concentrate on being strong and healthy. It may be that your friends are not smaller than you and that's just how you see it, or maybe they just move more than you, generally. My husband eats more than I do, but he has a lot of nervous energy and is always moving. As someone said, your friends may be skipping meals. This…
  • Nobody is saying she didn't work hard - I'm sure she did. But the implication was that everyone could do it if only they worked as hard as she did, and that somehow anyone who does have a less than perfect post-baby body only has themselves to blame because they didn't work hard enough. No amount of working hard will shift…
  • I  Munich! Beautiful city and so friendly :)
  • Small world - I'm in Liverpool, England but my sister lives in Caledon East and works in Mississauga!
  • I'm in the UK as well. I started taking Optimum Nutrition Gold 100% whey protein double chocolate when I realised my protein was well under (I'm veggie). I mix it with semi skimmed milk and it tastes really nice! Also helps after a workout (am doing 30 Day Shred and my muscles aren't half as stiff as they were before I…
  • See my post above. NOTHING would have prevented my stretch marks. I was not overweight before, during or after pregnancy. I did have a flat stomach before pregnancy. Still got stretch marks. NOT MY FAULT.
  • It totally depends on your skin type. The OP seems to have been blessed in that department, but to imply that people who don't bounce back only have themselves to blame is more than ludicrous, it's unfair. I was very slim before I had my two boys, but two large babies (8.5lbs and just under 10lbs) in the belly of a redhead…
  • Something else that works for car sickness is having a lot of bedding underneath the dog so he doesn't feel the vibrations/ motion so much. We have an old duvet in the back of the car for our dogs, but an old sleeping bag would do the trick.

  • You can't leave a young dog (he's basically a teenager) without exercise and expect him not to chew. Doesn't matter that it's raining, the dog needs exercise! Put your coat on and get out there! He needs to be walked for 45-60 mins in the morning and evening if you are going to leave him for eight hours a day. Chewing is a…

  • A lot of you who are flinging the 'body shaming' mud seems to think it is ok to look at the OP's photo and virtually laugh and tell her she'll never achieve it anyway. Nice. I think there are a load of people on here who pounce on these threads so they can be the most self righteous person out there. "Hey, look at me, look…
  • To be fair I've seen a lot of size 4/ 6 women on here with no waist and size 16 with hourglass figures - it's just their natural shape, not to do with being overweight or not.
  • That's all ok if you have agreed that role while your husband works. I think a lot of the posters work just as hard as their spouses outside of the home so it's not their job to take all the responsibility for cooking as well. I think quite rightly a few people are questioning a husband's right to demand the wife does the…
  • The main reason to eat back exercise cals is that for most people 1200 a day just doesn't cut it. You get hungry and are far more likely to eat rubbish and go over becaue you feel deprived and 'on a diet'. If I do exercise I can eat 1600 cals, don't get hungry or feel deprived and so I stick with it in the long term and…
  • You just need to know how many cals are in your shake and include it when you log your food. I started taking Optimum Nutrition Gold last week when I started tracking my macros and realised I was well under on protein (I'm vegetarian) I do 30 Day Shred each day and a lot of walking (I have three dogs). I also want to start…
  • I'm 42 and only took my driving test when I was 31. i put it off for years because I just didn't want the responsibility, especially with my kids in the back. But then I got a new job and, time-wise, taking the kids to school on the bus (we don't have proper school buses in the UK) wasn't practical so I had to bite the…
  • Bumpola Bumpingtons. Have just bought NROL4W and am about to step tentatively in your footsteps. Thanks for the inspiration ladies :flowerforyou:
  • Eight hours sleep at night is natural for people and dogs but more than 4-5 hours a day is not fair on them. As you say, you were there if she got distressed at night anyway.
  • He teaches outmoded and dangerous methods and he also beats dogs:angry:
  • Cesar Milan is an idiot.
  • Dogs shouldn't be left for more than four hours even when free in the house so I'm not surprised she gets so upset. To be honest, you are expecting too much of her to think she could stay in any crate for more than four hours. If you are going to be in work you will need to get a dogwalker or ask a friend or family member…
