  • I switched up my lunches recently. Flat Out Flatbread (100 calories), Oscar Mayer deli meat (usually 45-50 calories for 6 slices), light mayo (45 calories/T), tomato and lettuce. Wrap it all!! Added up...... 195 calories The Flatbreads also make a great pizza crust. Create your favorite healthy pizza, broil for a few…
  • It looks like you do more strength training and not much cardio. Try upping the cardio to at least 3-4 times per week. Water? Are you drinking the recommended amount of water? Also, you shouldn't feel so tired every time you exercise. Eat your calories. Maybe it is time to reevaluate the diet you are following. Diets are…
  • I had someone tell me they were getting frustrated because she hadn't lost any weight, was eating good, staying under calorie goal every day. When I asked her about her water intake, she was only drinking 1-2 glasses per day. When she increased her water intake to 6 per day, she lost 2 pounds that week and 2 more the…
  • Do you do any weight training? Also, most effective workouts are interval trainings. Try bursts of cardio and then a strength move. Search on line for more on this. You should be able to get workout ideas as well. It's not all about cardio. Weight training will build muscle which in turn burns more calories.

  • I also find working out on machines boring. I have always done group exercise. I will admit though, if the music sucked, I watched the clock. If the music, routine and most of all the instructor was fun and motivating, the time just flew. I wanted to teach but was heavier than most of the instructors. But one day, I said…
  • yummy
  • you definitely would feel it in your chest from the pushups, especially if you are new to doing them. If you are in that much pain, I wouldn't do it today. give it another day and see how you feel. It is always important to listen to your body.
  • I do standing crunches with my aerobic classes and they love them. Knee to elbow, knee to opposite elbow. air boxing across the body, sliding the hand to the knee and the side of the knee to tap into those sides. Just remember, you have to isolate the bottom by squeezing it tight.
  • I have made the biggest loser mini frittatas. Take the time to bake them, throw them in the freezer. thaw in micro and good to go. They are delicious and so easy to make. Breakfast is so important, so it is nice to have something you like!! 1 cup steamed broccoli chopped 2 cups egg substitute 2 oz (1c.) finely shredded…
  • You are 56 years old and are getting active!! You are improving your cardiovascular system and doing your bones a good deed by doing the weight training. Think of your body as a furnace...... give it the fuel to burn the calories. Be sure to have breakfast (preferably include a protein) and continue to fuel your body…
  • do you like Salmon? I wasn't a fan of fish, but this recipe was delicious. 4 Salmon fillet ( I use prepackaged/frozen from Walmart... serving size) garlic 2 sprigs dill 2 scallions lemon, sliced Thaw fillets according package. Chop garlic, scallions and dill. Sprinkle on salmon. Top with lemon slices and a sprig of dill.…
  • You look amazing. Went to your profile and saw before pictures. You have done an awesome job. You are an inspiration!!
  • You can do cardio everyday. Try working lower body one day and upper body the next when you weight train. This allows a day of rest for the muscles you just worked. So many great ideas have been suggested. You certainly won't get bored doing the same thing every day. I do cardio every day, whether it is walking or aerobics…
  • Never been to an all women's gym. I am a group ex groupie, not a machine person. I teach Step and LesMills BodyPump at my YMCA. I see the same peeps every week. I don't give them the chance to get bored. I change my music every week and my routines every month. Actually doing a new choreography tomorrow. On the flip side,…
  • made these!!!! they were FANTASTIC!!!
  • I am about to make chocolate-peanutbutter grahamwiches from the biggest loser cookbook. Chocolate graham cracker square topped with 1 teaspoon of reduced fat peanutbutter and 1/8 cup of fat free frozen whipped topping thawed, and topped with another square. Freeze. 112 calories. I have also had this with regular graham…
  • I teach group exercise and I often do standing core work. Knee to elbow and knee to opposite elbow. Posture is key in this. Bring the knee to chest while standing tall and making sure your belly button is drawn into the spine. Also, I do a turbo jam ab workout with the class which they love. Tuck your elbows in, squeeze…
