Make one change: don't eat your exercise calories back. Again, you may not be burning what the data base says. If you make ONE change, make that one and see what happens (and water). Keep dancing and walking.

OK, I am going to give some tough love here. I am a PT and vacuuming and dawdling around doesn't count as exercise so don't put it down. I went to your food and exercise diaries. It appears you are a grazer. Lots of snacks, McD, pizza, chips, etc. You are eating most, if not all your exercise calories back. When you set up…

It is not all about the scale. You are working out and making yourself a healthier you. When my clients don't see changes on the scales for a couple of weeks despite their hard work and proper eating, I take measurements. When they see that they have lost inches, it keeps them motivated. Also, the other day, my client…

my husband and I were a blind date. We dated for 3 years (living together for 2 of those). Had a 4 month engagement and will be celebrating 20 years in October!

I have never done P90X so I don't have feedback on that. I am a LesMills BodyPump instructor. I have seen results on my own body as well as others. There is a risk of injury with any workout, whether instructor led or done solo. I have seen people in the weight room with awful form because they were never taught the proper…

3500 calories equals 1 pound of fat. So, if you eat 1200 calories a day, even without exercise, you are creating a deficite of at least 500 calories a day. Adding up 7 days..... 1 pound lost. 90% of losing weight is good, clean eating. I do see you eat Lean Cuisines, hot pockets and other processed foods. I would check the…

oh, glad you explained the calorie change. Good luck with your research and hope you find what works well for you.

You can definitely try to change your birth control, but I just went to your page and checked out your food diary. You were over your calories 9 out the last 14 days. Now, I know this doesn't represent the last 5 months, but accuracy is key for success. The days that you were over put you at a maintenace level or close to…

It is a very slight risk of Cancer, but none the less...... just thought it was worth sharing.

Here are a few tips: Don't like water? Buy light Crystal light or MIO. It flavors the water and there are some great choices. There are also many flavored waters out there. I recently had a Disani Strawberry water and it was delicious. Green and orange veggies are the healthiest. Eat a variety of fruits. Go to…

You are not logging any water intake. Are you getting the recommended 8 cups per day? I think you should add sodium intake to your diary. I bet it would be over every day with the pizza hut, crackers and the like that you are eating. Sodium helps the body retain water, especially without adequate fluid intake. I urge you…

I have made the biggest loser mini frittatas. Take the time to bake them, throw them in the freezer. thaw in micro and good to go. They are delicious and so easy to make. Breakfast is so important, so it is nice to have something you like!! 1 cup steamed broccoli chopped 2 cups egg substitute 2 oz (1c.) finely shredded…

Actually, by keeping it private, one is holding oneself accountable. And who controls what goes in your mouth? YOU!! not the people looking at your diary. There are alot of great people on MFP for help and motivation, but in the end, it is the individual who ate the right thing, exercised and met their goals. I joined in…

We have had this conversation before and so I purposely weighed myself before my step class. I went high impact the whole class drank maybe 8 ounces during the class and weighed as much as 1.5-2 pounds less. I have also done my step class and drank 24 ounces of water during and after and weighed either the same or maybe .5…

I am 44 and am actually more active now than I was in my 20's. Age is a number. I ran my first half marathon in my 30's. Started teaching aerobics in my 30's and I am still going strong with both!! Staying active and loving life keeps me going strong. TIPS?? LOVE WHAT YOU DO/DO WHAT YOU LOVE!!! AND IT WILL NEVER FEEL LIKE…

Proper form is so important. While squatting, your butt leads the way back and down like sitting in a chair. Put almost all of the weight in the heels of your feet. Tip: lift your big toes OFF of the floor and start the squat. Big toes off of the floor will force you to sit back. Take a peek at your knees. You should be…

Congrats!!!! It is not definitely all about the scale!

I had 1500 calories eating a Friendly's lunch with a sundae at the end. did it once and saw the big RED negative number -1500 on my profile. NEVER AGAIN!!

I sometimes load my plate with the veggies and portion my main meal. I feel more full and I don't feel guilty about eating lots of veggies.

Salmon topped with garlic, dill and lemon baked in a foil pouch. I use Walmart's prepackaged Salmon (already portioned) 100 cal. Flatout Flatbread Pesto pizza with sliced tomatoes and mozz. cheese quickly put under broiler about 300 calories dependant upon what you use as toppings. Biggest Loser Buffalo Chix meatloaf made…

There are alot of great things out there to burn calories. Free and no equipment is running the road/stairs and body weight resistance exercises (pushups, tricep dips, etc.) However, with any exercise, you get out of it what you put into it. I teach step classes. I can burn 100 fewer/more calories from one class to the…

don't think of it as a diet.... diets fail. It is a lifestyle. It is a balance. I have lost 16 pounds since May 11 and I have gone over my caloric intake plenty of times. I haven't given up any of my favorite foods. I have either replaced with a healthier version, or I plan my day to incorporate what I want. I don't eat…
