It's not the sugar that makes fruit so much healthier but the fiber, vitamins and minerals. Still, if you eat too much fruit, the sugar will affect the body just as a candy bar would, but that is rare. Most people are not obese from eating too much fruit.

Up protein and lower carb or replace some your fruit consumption with veggies - dreadful, horrible veggies...lol

Fruit sugar is no different than refined sugar if that's all you look at. It's possible to eat too much fruit and over do the sugar. The disconnect is what accompanies the sugar in fruit vs some refined, processed junk food. With fruit you're getting vitamins, minerals and fiber vs varying levels of empty calories…

Very good sir! Ah salute B)

This is best, but you know people who claim they just don't have time to exercise right? I bet they know the TV guide like a Baptist knows the bible...lol
-
Yep! This does not replace regular training sessions, but it's something to consider for those who watch TV but claim they don't have time for scheduled exercise. And like you, I can burn a few extra calories when needed.

Raw oats and sliced apples cooked with whole milk served with eggs. I need the carbs but try to avoid processed foods with added, refined sugar. Also, 1200 calories seems low, but maybe that's just from my perspective. Good Luck!

Maintaining weight and losing fat is just as hard as losing weight.* Proper Diet + Calorie Maintenance + Exercise = RESULTS B) The above equation only works when we do our part. Keep learning, gather your energy and make adjustments until you find your way. Good Luck! <3

Yep, there come a point when enough is enough. Each of us is the author of our fitness, so welcome Debbie!

I love coconut oil as well as the milk. Both are great - great but not magic. I highly recommend coconut oil over most anything else for cooking or even frying. Just remember that our results still come from hard work related to proper diet and exercise. Without effort in training and food intake, use whatever oil you can…

Welcome back to the fight. You can do this. A winner will find a way to keep going. We take setbacks and use them to drive forward that much harder. Quitters take bad breaks and use them as excuses to give up. It's all a matter of attitude. GOOD LUCK! <3

I lost 93 pounds 3 years ago and have maintained this. IT'S HARD! Most people gain the weight back, and that ship just won't sail for me. You must be just as determined in maintaining weight as you are now in losing. I switched from weight loss to fat loss with good results. Just don't do what most people do which is ease…

I made the switch a few years ago. I went Vegan, and the cravings became too much for me to bare. Also, I did not see any progress in my health or body composition. Of course, I was only a vegan for 30 seconds... >:)

haha - no, my work is more of a slow jog which beats sitting. And hitting my head might mess up my hair.....

That's good! Anything that gets us moving in a way that's enjoyable is a step in a positive direction.

It just seems like proper diet and some form of exercise in front of the TV could be the key to curing our nation's obesity crisis. The same average person watching 5 hours of TV will then say "I just don't have time for exercise". Same here; I still like to get out, but some days the weather is just horrible. That's when…

People forget, we die with no sugar as in no more as in 1 Person Chamber. a little folding of the hands to sleep, 15 minutes of flame , 7 steps to heaven, the fossil farm, corpses-R-Us, the eternal nap, that good night, Horizontal Hilton, Last Gasp Saloon, Valley of the Kings, Headstone Park - DEAD! Sugar is our friend,…

I keep my list in my head.... ...which is why I often make additional trips to the market to pick those items I forgot! B)

Oh really... Your Ticker is confusing. Anyway, follow the MFP recommendations for 2 pounds gained per week, then once you hit that mark, work on maintaining weight, eating well and staying healthy. And best wishes to you...

I train a bunch and had to tweak my calorie burn to find my zone. The MFP exercise data base was a good guide, but at day's end, I had to create my own exercises and calorie burn. The MFP food data base is much more definitive.
