Just today I played 3 sets of tennis, hiked 4 miles and performed an hour of light MMA drills. If this qualifies, add me...

Welcome a good luck!

I was way fat - 278 pounds, and nobody noticed until I reached that first 20 pound lost mark. That's when people noticed and commented. After 40 pounds gone, I became a local weight loss rock star...EVERYBODY NOTICED...but after 90+ pounds gone... NOTHING! I wondered about that, then it hit me. Nobody recognizes me like…

Dave, fitness is a serious business. Humor is NOT allowed...

For years I force fed myself breakfast, because after all...it's "the most important meal of the day" - right? Well, maybe...or maybe not... Today, I just skip it. The egg-heads even have a cool term for this called "Intermittent Fasting". Whatever. Skipping that meal helps me keep my daily calories in check, and the…

Suggestion: forget x-mas and just keep doing what you're doing. It's working. Losing weight is not a race, and x-mas is not the finish line.

Maintain your current weight for a few years and just exercise both cardio and resistance. After what you've been through, losing weight is a trigger to a slippery slope.

Metric is for sissies... :p

I will eventually, because I kind of already know what I eat when it comes to calories and macro's. My logging is out of habit, and we'll just see how this plays out once I stop. If the weight starts to creep up, oh well! BACK TO LOGGING

Stop looking for some magic bullet "program". Just follow the MFP recommendations for steady and lasting results. Eat lean meats, fruits and veggies, nuts, whole grains, and some dairy, and log all your foods and set your calorie intake to lose 1 pound per week. Exercise both cardio and strength, and eat back your exercise…

I had this after a bad trip to a chinese buffet late in the week when the leftovers start to get rancid. Anyway, I thought once I cleaned out what I had eaten, the diarrhea would just stop. It did not, and I'm good at math, but how did 2 plates of chinese food turn into 5 gallons of caboose sludge?

You may need to suck up some weight gain until your metabolism stabilizes. My neighbor - God love her - is in the same boat. She runs 8 miles per day and eats less than 1000 calories. She's big as can be at 5'5" all pear shaped and probably rolling around 220 lbs. It's sad for somebody to work so hard and not get the…

Wonderful - welcome back, and good luck!

Pole exercises are much more enjoyable with a workout partner who can properly push you... o:)

I gained 7 pounds in 7 days eating anything I wanted, but after every meal, I walked the entire ship up and down every deck. It took an hour. I ate 4 huge meals per day...and walked 4 hours. I was not on a cruise to diet. And once I returned to regular life, I cut the weight in 2 weeks.
-
I allow myself about 4 pounds of bloat, but I maintain at 185, and if that scale ever says 190+, I know it's time for a few weeks of cutting. I will never be that guy who gains back the weight. NEVER!

7pm - same here most days. I want that 16 hour window of fasting before I eat again.

Dude, I went from 278 lbs down to 185 lbs. I did it over 2 years and have kept the weight off going on 3 years now. It's not a race. I lost around a pound per week as per MFP recommendation. I wanted steady and lasting results. Here is what I do...consider: I address 2 areas that make up my health and fitness program. 1.…

I lost my weight over a 2 year period - 93 pounds total in 2010-2011. I have maintained weight for 3 years now since November of 2011. Though a huge believer in exercise - both cardio and strength - nutrition is 70% of the equation when it comes to health and wellness. When it comes to fitness and physique, exercise is a…

I gave up various things, including alcohol, because I have exercised little control when I partake. If I drink a few adult beverages, I start eating anything I can get my hands on. It's not the food or drink that is bad; it's me. Moderation with certain items is just not happening, so they're cut out of my diet totally.

My motivation is to simply be the best version of myself. I want to* look good * feel great * live well Life is too short to settle for less than full potential.

haha - there is nothing wrong with deriving some motivation just to show him what he's missing...lol

Sounds great!

Supplements are largely a huge waste. Just eat lean meats, fruits and veggies, nuts, whole grains, and raw dairy. And beware the herd looking for something magic as well as the scammer trying to recruit you into his MLM supplement pyramid. .

No, but I have given up most processed foods with empty, sugary calories. My diet of fruits and veggies is unaffected. And for Thanksgiving, FORGET-ABOUT-IT! >:) I plan to binge like a government mule on anything and everything.

My resting heart rate is around 60 bpm, and I am age 50, I do a few hours of cardio most days and strength train every other day, so I am fit, but still, 120 bpm is insanely high - even for guys who do nothing. Get that checked ASAP!!!

Bodybuilding is not about health and wellness, so forget this guy. He's probably juicing roids and God only knows what else. To compete in that absurd sport, a guy must perform a load of unnatural, unhealthy actions. That's bodybuilding today.

OUCH! This is a tough one! Thanksgiving is one of those few times where I allow myself to wallow in an orgy of food like a rooting hog in slop. I am going to eat everything and anything until I just hurt. And after a short nap, I'll do it again...and again...and finally one final time before bed. And the following day this…
