  • Poverty...
  • Easy, I severed the relationships and made new connections. And after I lost the weight, I had the same issue but in reverse. People were jealous of my success. Just shrug off the shackles of all toxic relationships. Negative people never change, so we must change.
  • ^^^ THIS I sense there is more going on with you than mere weight issues.
  • For me it's a life-long process of just being the best version of myself. When I began, I was 278, and it took 2 years to lose the weight and reach my goal of 185. I have maintained this for 3 years now. You need to think long-term, set your goals, then just begin and enjoy the journey.
  • Wow, great job...and welcome to Onederland... :D
  • I can't do without homemade juice - my very own thick mix of fruit and blended veggies. I just won't eat veggies any other way. I hate them.
  • Sorry, no help here...lol I know I am fine so long as I don't take that first bite. Most can moderate their food intake and enjoy a treat. I can not. I either want the whole bag of candy or none at all.
  • Oh really? Just go with whatever is suggested in FLEX Magazine. lol
  • Oh no, nobody's ever done that...it never happens... ;) And if you buy that, I got some ocean front property in Arizona. From my front porch you can see the sea. Seriously, I have failed like that over and over...and so you learn, gather energy and start again. The road to success is paved with the stones of failure. We…
  • ^^^^^^ Well Said This site is set up to target a constant number as opposed to a percentage. Go easy on yourself and follow the MFP recommendations for steady and lasting results. Eat well, log all your foods and set your weekly weight loss for 1 pound. Exercise both cardio and strength, and eat back your exercise…
  • Yep, I'd up my carbs a bit. The makers of protein supplements have convinced the herd that excessive amounts of protein are necessary to keep bodybuilders from becoming girly men. There is no value in that line of thought. You're no girly man...lol :)
  • OK, so you ate too much today. Sometimes a good feeding is not a bad thing. Gather your energy, focus on your goals and start again. No need to dwell on a lost battle when you're still in the fight. :)
  • ^^^^^ Congratulations on your wedding, and as stated above, just have the dress altered. Don't get under pressure to crash diet for a wedding. Any program geared to reduce more than 1 pound per week might be something that craters at some point. For lasting, steady results, think long-term - not 9 weeks ahead. Fitness for…
  • I am still a work in progress, but my aim is more than merely losing weight. I want to be the best version of who I truly am, and that's means optimal health and peak fitness.
  • From your own cited study: "The researchers also said the current classification of mental disorders, which does not permit a formal diagnosis of eating addiction, could be redrawn." DUH! :o How about trying to help a situation instead of just heaping shame? Anyway, I hope you feel better having belittled somebody else's…
  • Here is what I do...consider: I address 2 areas that make up my health and fitness program. 1. Food Intake - I eat clean as defined by lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, whole grains, beans and raw dairy. If man makes it, I try not to eat it. 2. Exercise - both cardio and strength...and I try to engage routines…
  • I got rid of it all...lol I had to, because I never crave it until I eat that first bite. :o Those final kids were rewarded! I was like Monty Hall toward the tail end of trick-or-treating. And for you...the whole bowl!
  • Candy does NOT fit into my daily calories, because of my piggish nature. I am one of those who had to completely give up certain foods...like candy and sweets and booze... If others can work them into their macro's and calories, great! I was unable, and I eat a ton! My average daily consumption is around 4000 calories. The…
  • Make sure your goals are reasonable. Just follow the MFP recommendations for steady and lasting results. Eat clean, log all your foods and set your calorie intake to lose 1 pound per week. Exercise both cardio and strength, and eat back your exercise calories. It's simple. And once you reach your goal weight, stay on…
  • I hit walls where my progress stalled. I lost the first 50 lbs no problem, and right about 225, nothing! I maintained for a few months, and then I started losing again but slower. 210 lbs was a killer wall, and so was 200 lbs. The final 15 lbs were hell to shed, but I did and have maintained that for 3 years and focused on…
  • Wow, you're going to sabotage yourself big time. Sad... :\ Just follow the MFP recommendations for steady and lasting results. Eat well, log all your foods and set your calorie intake to lose 1 pound per week. Exercise both cardio and strength, and eat back your exercise calories. It's simple. This will lead to success;…
  • We all have such days. You're here doing the right thing, and I encourage and congratulate you for this. It takes guts to admit weakness and ask for help. Again, I have been here. Continue to gather your energies for a return to the fray. You, like most of us, had a challenging day where things did not go right. I have…
  • My favorite is hiking or running in the woods. LOVE IT!
  • Are we related? :p Seriously, no start is bad. You're here and gathering your energies for a return to the fight. You, like most of us, took a shot from that near invincible enemy: that person named "Me"! I have failed so many times but at the end of my journey, I won the victory, gathered my prize and lost the weight. The…

  • Answer: NO! I lost 93 pounds with a weekly cheat day/food binge. Whatever you decide, good luck to you! <3
  • For mere weight loss, just eat with a daily calorie deficit. DONE! For optimal health and peak fitness, you must train both cardio and strength. It's not optional. It all depends on what your goals are: the best version of yourself or something less.
  • Oh yea, age 26 is totally over the hill... :p WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE AGE 46! lol
  • No, you eat 1200 + 500 = 1700 And make sure your weekly weight loss goals are set at 1 pound per week. Keep it simple.
  • Cool! It was a hard struggle, and the fight now is maintaining weight while sharpening the saw and becoming the best version of myself. Again, thanks!
