I run 3 days a week, gym the other 3 days working on strength conditioning. Looking at incorporating a day of spinning at the gym in on the gym days. Got lots of races in 2016 and want to be in best shape. Ran my first Half Marathon in September and loved it!

I'm looking at starting spinning shortly, also use the weights at the gym on non-running days.

Aye, I'm definitely going to limiting my alcohol intake. I'm not a regular drinker, but when I do, I'm a binge drinker and that doesn't help as I could consume up to 10 pints and then whatever spirits / shots on top of that! In the 5 weeks leading up to my half marathon (Great North Run), my diet stayed the same until around 1 week beforehand. That's when I started carb loading. During my 20's I'd eat / drink whatever I wanted and didn't think of it. Now that I'm 31 I realise this was a bad choice as it caused a bad habit which I'm on a journey to crack.
