  • I agree with all of the above suggestions in signing up for a race. This is what keeps me focused and motivated. This year has all been working towards running my first marathon which is in September and I'm nervous but excited for it. I'm yet to run any distance over 16miles yet, but I'm confident that I'll manage. I am…
  • I personally feel it depends where you live. Whilst I was living in London I didn't really experience much support from others when out running, however now I live up North people are a lot more friendlier when out running. Whilst we may not always say anything out loud, we at least nod at each other and acknowledge the…
  • I haven't yet no, but hi there
  • I'm travelling down to Liverpool for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon race weekend (we're all wearing yellow ribbons) and am planning on making a trip to Manchester to pay my respects, <3
  • It's not just beginners who need help learning to love running, I didn't run between September - January and had to find my love again for running. I didn't really find a solution other than lacing up and getting out the door. That was the hardest part for me personally. Even now I find running more of a mental battle than…
  • I've not ran Newcastle ParkRun but took part in MoRun last two years. I've never tried Rising Sun but heard it's a fast course. I enjoyed Gateshead and it is a tad hilly, but you should definitely try it out :)
  • I haven't really taken in many ParkRuns, however I'm going to start attending more. There's one like 10mins from my house but I don't really like the course (South Shields). But there's one at Gateshead which I ran last week for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it so will be going there as often as I can …
  • I'm 32 and never been on a date! *hides*
  • Aye, seems in good shape from his picture. Could take some tips from him for sure!
  • I try my hardest to avoid the treadmill and generally run outside as I find it so much easier and enjoyable. My weekly routine is below; this is when I've not got any races planned that week. I could run every day, however I'm currently running 2 races per month so working on other areas to improve my core. Monday - Gym…
  • If you click through on the person you would like to add, it should take you to their profile and this is where you can send the friend request,
  • If anyone is looking for someone to push them then please feel free to add me. Always checking in on my friends and currently on a 611 log-in streak!
  • You're a beautiful lass and someone will come along and sweep you off your feet before you know it! <3
  • For me, it's all dependant on what you're actually looking for in an activity tracker and you're long term visions. I was intrigued by the whole trackers and decided I'd treat myself to a FitBit Charge. Initially it was to try and encourage me to walk more places, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges with other people and…
  • I'm originally from London, but living up in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne now. Currently on a 606 log in streak, have an open diary and engage as much as I can with others. I'll try and support whoever I can so feel free to send a FR.
  • Originally from London, living up in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne now! Feel free to add me
  • I befriended someone when I first joined and we became good friends. Last year she came to England for a holiday and we spent two amazing weeks together as friends, it was such a great time and whilst it may of been a long time to spend with a someone you met online, I highly recommend if you're able to meet up with your…
  • Aye, she seems a canny lass :*
  • Originally from London, but living in Newcastle now
  • Hey! If you're looking for an active friend look no further than here! *raises hand* , currently at a 596 streak and am not stopping. Most of my posts are around running so as long as you don't mind that I'm more than happy to have more active friends on my list. Admittedly I'm in the UK, but I'll still be as supportive as…

  • Excellent job on completing your first 10k. Last year I wouldn't consider myself a runner but around the same time I signed up for a 10k race and then subsequently a Half Marathon a few months later. I then found I absolutely loved running and have gone from strength to strength. This year I'm running around 15 events. I…
  • I think you need to come and teach me all these recipes! I've had a George Foreman grill now for over a year and have used it once I think, lol. Definitely going to start using it more with some of these suggestions,

  • I used to weigh myself sporadically throughout the week and found my weight would fluctuate so much and often I got discouraged and down. I now only weigh myself once a week on a Sunday, same time, same place and wearing the same clothes. It displays my weight on my FitBit Aria scales and then uploads to MFP automatically.…
  • I'm a keen runner, I only took it up last year but completely hooked now. I also signed up to my local running club last night so it's all go from here on in. I look to take part in as many races as I can and this year I'm covering various parts of the UK with my races. I'll happily look to support whoever I can, wherever…
