  • 43 here and looking to lose 35lbs but more importantly get back to my active, healthy self!
  • Click on the person's user name and then there is an "add as friend" button. Hope that helps!
  • That is awesome! I am also running a 1/2 marathon in September. I trained for one in 2010 but my running partner got injured and we decided to walk it together instead. I think walking it was actually harder than running it. Good luck!
  • I've seen a ton of great results posted by friends who are BB coaches...like 15-20lbs. What I am interested in is 1 month later if those big losses stay gone. I believe in BB and have been drinking Shakeology for 1 1/2 years and LOVE it. But as an example, I might lose 7lbs when I do a 3 day cleanse but then it seems like…
  • You can mix it just in a shaker cup and drink it without having any changes to the nutrients in it. Personally, I like it much better if it is blended in the blender with soy milk and a little PB2 (for the chocolate). I have drank it on the go in a shaker cup though and it is fine. I have also blended it the night before…
  • I log the jogging and the walk separately. It seemed to be fairly accurate when I actually wore my bodybugg.
  • Absolutely sign up for your 5K! Especially after you feel like you have had a bad run, it gives you something to look forward to. On one of my first 5Ks I ended up running my fastest mile ever because I think the excitement and enthusiasm helps to carry you forward. Keep going and remember...you are still ahead of everyone…
  • 41 here. Age is just a number! I started running again after 20 years when I was 39. I feel better than I did in my 30s.
  • 41 here and working on being more fit in my 40s than I was in my 30s (actually I am already there). Feel free to add me as a friend. I enjoy running and Zumba.
  • So sorry for your loss...especially because it sounds like it was very unexpected when it happened! Great job not letting your dad's circumstances get you down and hold you back. What a wonderful way to honor him on the anniversary of his death!
  • If I have to do McDonald's, which I try to avoid at all costs, I get the grilled chicken, bacon "ranch" salad. I substitute the low fat vinaigrette dressing and don't eat the croutons. It ends up being about 300 calories total but it is HIGH in sodium from the dressing and the chicken seasoning.
  • I log my weekly weight. I weigh in on Tuesdays. Today I had a 0.4lb increase and I logged it too. It helps keep me accountable doing just once per week.
  • Week 3 for me. Gonna shoot for 3000 this week since I have had trouble reaching the 3,500 for the past two. Weekly Goal: 3000 calories Mon: 988--60 minutes of Zumba and 68 minute walk at 4mph Tues: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total: 988 Left to go: 2012

  • I always have water with me at work. I can seriously drink 3 liters in an 8 hour shift. I also only allow myself my "planned" snacks. I usually bring in something for a morning snack and something for an afternoon snack. That way I know what my intake is going to be ahead of time. Gum also helps me too.
  • Will be 18 years on June 11, 2012. Started dating on July 18, 1992 got engaged a year later and married in June of 1994. We met in high school in February of 1988 but were just friends until 1992.
  • Congrats! I think it is awesome that you signed up for a 1/2 marathon. I have walked one but really want to run one in September this year!
  • When I originally started the C25K program I weighed my highest weight ever of 210. When I ran my first 5K on my graduation day I weighed 196lbs. I ended up running an additional 7 5Ks that year and walked a 1/2 marathon. I am currently redoing C25K because I usually don't run much over the winter months. I am on week 4…
  • Congrats and you look awesome! Sorry about the loss of your pet. I can completely understand that...I adore my furbabies! They just don't live long enough but I think every single one of them leaves us with something special!
  • Week 2 of Challenge Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: 1036--Zumba class 60 minutes/ 4.7 mile walk in 73 minutes. Great day today! Tues: Big ol' fat day off! • Too funny! I almost spit on my computer screen. I have a tattoo and I love it and plan to get another one soon. I seriously would love to have huge tree sleeve on my arm but unfortunately I am a nurse and wouldn't want to have to cover it up all of the time.
  • Thanks for posting...so inspiring! Keep up the great work!
  • Actually Tuesday was my lower weight so that is great! I do always weigh in the am, after going to the bathroom and naked before getting in the shower....probably too much infomation but hey, that's how I roll. Lol!
  • Awesome job! Pictures really are worth 1000 words!
  • I would concentrate on getting in the exercise...is 30DS set up to be a certain number of days a week. If it is 5 days a week then I would start with doing it 3 days the first week, then 4 days then 5 days or working up to whatever it is if you have been out of the exercise routine for awhile. Also make sure that you…
  • Okay congrats for asking for help! I think that is so key when someone is actually ready to make a change. I know that you are already logging all of your food on MFP so that helps already. What are you doing for exercise? I tend to like challenges that involve burning a certain amount of calories. I would be happy to help…
  • Thanks everyone. I went ahead and posted today's weight! Just going to keep pushing hard and working the program and hopefully the number on the scale next Tuesday will be the same or less!
  • In 2010, I hit my highest weight ever at 210. It was 3lbs heavier than I was the day I gave birth to my daughter in 2001. That number on the scale was what motivated me to get started. I didn't want to be bad example and an unhealthy mom for my daughter! My husband decided to take the journey with me. I started running…
  • Actually I went on a tour of four wineries with a group of friends, so calories were higher and didn't get in my usual calorie burn. I tend to have more problems with weekends so that is why Tuesday is my usual weigh in day instead of Monday. Don't get me wrong, I am happy about the weight loss. :)
  • First of all let me just say BRAVO! It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there for others to look at what you are eating and "offer" suggestions for what they think is better choices for you. Eating and weight loss are very personal things. Your reasons for wanting to weigh a certain weight are yours and yours alone.…
