the machine!!!! it's built to measure your heart rate so the calories are likely to be more accurate than the site. I often wear my heart monitor when on the machines just to do a comparison and it's usually very close in numbers (heart rate & calories).

The only vegan cookbook I have is skinny ***** in the kitch. The daniel fast is a good reference for an all natural diet. Good Luck!

I only log my walk/job combos when i'm on a machine. So if on the treadmill, I make sure I run/walk the same amount of minutes. ex: total work out 20 mins. I'll run 10 and walk 10 even if I break it up every 5 minutes it still has to total 20 mins. When I'm done I make sure I note how many calories I burnt. When I log it,…

Thanks so much. I also noticed a spike in my weight when I went vegetarian (2 years ago). It got so bad that I eventually went to see a dietican because all I ate was potato chips...lol. She was very helpful and gave some of the best advice I've ever recieved. She told me to eat each color of the raindow daily. That…

Congrats on that! 3.4 lbs is wonderful. Continue to put your best foot forward. Check the internet for excerises you can do with limited time. You'll be surprised what you can really get in, even with a busy schedule.

Welome! I joined a few months ago and have only been consistant with dieting and excerising this month. I've lost 7.4 since 8/31 and a total of 8.8 lbs since I joined in March. My point is, dedication is key. Diet and Excerise go hand and hand and you have to stay with it to see results. Good Luck Jewell

Welcome Sam! This is the best site with lots of tools and great ppl. You can do it with lots of dedication and discipline. Losing the first few lbs is probably the hardest but once you do and get in a routine that works for you, you're going to take off. Good Luck! Jewell

Good question! I've been wondering the same thing. However, I noticed when I did eat my excerise calories I didn't lose any weight. Since I have stop eating them, I have lost at least a 1b a week. GO ME! Good Luck

I've started P90x about 3 times and have not completed a full week yet. Like you I was getting up early in the AM which was great cause it gave me a lot of energy for my work day. The first attempted I completed 5 days (only 30-40 minutes of each DVD) and then pulled a stomach muscle. I was unable to work out for about a…
