I'm 5'4" and I'm aiming for around 165. I think that will put me at around a UK size 12 (US 8-10?) I really don't think I could get to my advised healthy weight range of 115-145 without losing a leg! At the moment I am around 212 and a UK size16-18.

Thanks, that sounds more similar (although lighter) than me. When I was a size 12 I was around 12 stone. It amazes me how much people's weight can differ, I remember I used to borrow and lend clothes to a friend when we would go out, we were pretty much exactly the same size, but she was two stone lighter than me.

Thanks! I have no health issues (apart from being overweight!) I can swim no problems. I just wanted some confirmation that you don't necessarily have to be thin to do it! I am in the UK, am planning to learn here and then go away when qualified some time next year hopefully.

I walked down the aisle to I Belong To You by Lenny Kravitz, and we had You're My Best Friend by Queen, Blow Your Mind by Jamiroquai, and Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers at different points. I'm sure there was another one as well but I seem to have forgotten!

It's under elliptical. I got one because I'm not keen on the treadmill. I use it most days and I find it a good machine as you can change the resistance and make it is difficult as you like.

For the cross trainer I like She Wolf by Shakira and LAck Of Love by Charles B. Adonis. Daft Punk songs are good too, I Wanna Be U or Harder Better Faster Stronger.
